Mentors and IR

If you have a mentor that gets injured and put on IR, does he still help out the others in his group since he is still part of the rosters total # of players?

thnks found it, doesn't cover IR specifically but I guess is still works. as long as IR and inactive are treated the same as mentoring goes.
