Quad Cities native Madison Keys who is all of sixteen years old is going HAM right now at the Open against 27th seeded Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic in the 2nd round of the tournament.
She's up 5-1 in the 1st set. We'll see if she can keep it together, but she's the next big American phenom on the women's side no matter what happens here in this particular match.
Keys won her first round match against 37-year old Jill Craybas and she's the lowest ranked woman in the field at 455th in the world. (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/tennis/story/2011-08-29/Madison-Keys-at-16-debuts-with-victory/50182432/1)
