They just set up the NFL leagues yesterday. Basically you put together a roster of 2 QB's, 2 RB's, 2 WR's, 1 TE, 1 DST, 2 FLEX (RB,WR,TE) under a salary of $100,000. Every player obviously has a salary tag (Vick is around $16K for week 1). You can join as many weekly leagues as you want and prices range from $2 to $420. Prizes depend on the size of league you join. I'm loving the 3 person $22 leagues. 1st place gets $60.

Anyway, I've had a lot of fun on the site and it's a very nice outlet for a betting fix.

I wouldn't worry too much. Baylor is the darling school that all the pundits think is going to do something this year. TCU is so fantasically coached that they will easily cover that line. The only worry you should have is that I am on this one and I already had a horrible night last night.

I use bookmaker.eu. Used to be bookmaker.com but lost that domain to the Feds ;) You can pay from the US and they offer real good football futures/lines. They actually have live chat customer service who are extremely friendly and patient if you have issues/questions.

They're setup in a manner that protects your money, with only the domain exposed. When their .com got seized, the next day they were up with the .eu site and sent an email immediately to everyone with money saying don't worry.

Yeah the ease of depositing is the best part. I use PayPal but they do take all credit cards. Took out my 1st withdrawal last week and received a check 3 days later. No hassle at all. Good stuff.

The game opened at -5.5 and apparently that number got pounded by the Baylor side. Griffen for Baylor is a stud and you have to assume the game is more meaningful to Baylor.

Geez the UW/EWU line went from 18 to 15.5. People are on Eastern. Meanwhile, Montana, who has more talent then Eastern is a 25.5 dog against Tennessee. Tempted to bet UW even without Polk. They have some good talent at RB behind him with Collier and true frosh Bishop Sankey. Keith Price will probably surprise a lot of people in the Pac 12 this year, he's very solid. Plus Husky stadium is a great homefield.

If I remember correctly, you could have gotten the Rams at +7 or more before pre-season started and Vick was seen getting abused regularly. Personally, I love the Rams and really wish I would've put my money where my mouth was 3 weeks ago.

I think Spagnulo will have the Rams D ready to play in a frenzied Dome. They'll come after Vick and abuse him. Bradford should be able to hit RB's and TE's all day long and Jackson/Cadillac should be able to pound the Eagles front 7.

Update: tried to make a deposit via my visa credit card last night so I could get some season win bets in prior to Thursday. Unfortunately trying to do so via the web did not work as my deposits were declined by Chase (I assume).

So, this morning I see I have an email from bodog saying we see you had some problems making your deposit, please call if we can help. I call from work this morning with the only real intention of getting some clarification regarding visa gift cards such as whether any worked better than others. However, the lady on the phone took my cc info and tried again... And the deposit goes through. I hang up, log on, and see the balance of my deposit - fees + bonus in my account.

Within the hour I am getting voice mails from chase fraud prevention about a transaction with an amount similar, but not the same, to what my charge (deposit) should have been. I didnt have time to call until this evening and when I go through the fraudulent charges, there is not one but two charges for similar but not exact amounts and they are listed as electronics/computer stores. I indicated they were fraudulent and closed the account. Not a big deal as I intentionally used a card I never use but it left a very sour taste in my mouth. Also disappointing as I was really looking forward to getting into some regular NFL gambling this year.

I had the exact same issues as you with a Chase debit card. I don't know if it's Chase completely (or even deliberately) miscategorizing these charges, fraud or just the way that Bodog is trying to hide their charges, but I wasn't taking any chances. Like you the amounts were close but not exact to the amount Bodog was supposed to be taking out.

It's not worth jumping through this many hoops and wondering about who is using my bank account to me and having to deal with fraud prevention whenever there is a charge to some department store in Iceland. I'll just bet when I'm in Vegas and with friends.

The amounts being off sounds very shady. I had fraud detection triggered any time I deposited to poker sites from 2005ish on, but it was always just an automated phone call to confirm the amounts to get it taken care of. The random vendor that the charge appears under is their rather shady way of attempting to skirt around the UIGEA. Poker sites were doing that for a long time with varying success before they were completely shut out of the US.

Things have changed a lot in recent months so on line casinos and stuff need to disguise their charges. I highly recommend NOT using an account with an established bank. You can use the all access visa card NetSpend | Prepaid Debit Cards, Prepaid Visa Cards, Prepaid MasterCards, and Direct Deposit Prepaid Cards (www.netspend.com). You load that card then use it to fund BoDog. The charges may be off because of a service fee, etc...

I will say I have used BoDog for years and never once felt cheated.

I'm a little scared of that 22 spread for Oklahoma. Yes, it's in Norman, but Missouri is not totally incapable, even if they have a new, young QB. Plus, is there a letdown after FSU? I suppose the strength of the revenge factor for last year's loss might have a lot to do with it. In the past, when OU has lost on the road, they usually obliterate that team in Norman the next season.

So I discovered online squares a few weeks ago during the bowl games on this website I use for gambling. Have bet $2 a square on a few games and hadn't won anything yet and so today I go to buy a few squares for the Giants game and they are only offering the $10 squares. I decide to buy one just to have some action going besides the spread and end up with the NY 7 - ATL 2 square. My friends procede to make fun of how the website is never giving out the 7-4,7-0,7-3 etc to real people and how big of an idiot I am and then the Giants score a TD after a safety earlier and we get to watch a crazy run to the $450 halftime payout. So then towards the end of the game Tynes goes for a field goal that would put NY up 27-2 and I may actually win another $450. Ends up missing a pretty short kick but how can I complain up $450?

Ended up winning Broncos +8, Broncos total score +13, and losing Falcons +3 for a net of a little over $500 for the day. (and I don't usually go more than $20/$25 a game anymore so this was a big payday!)

Didn't they change their name to bovada.lv or something? How does Washington state regulate that?

EDIT: I am using youwager right now but haven't cashed out from there in about a year so I probably shouldn't steer you towards there until I cash out again. I have had no problems in the past with them though and they have pretty good opening bonuses if you do some internet searching before signing up.

They did change their name. It is basically a self regulation. They have frozen 3 states, MD, NY, and WA residents can't deposit and they wont accept new sign ups.

I called today to confirm there is no way to deposit. So I need to find a new site. I used to use them so I could play poker and bet on sports, but I rarely play poker anymore.

One of the things I liked about bodog is you could wager as little as a dollar

I'd probably be more interested in football than baseball, but it seems like it would be easy enough to do... maybe bet on anything you want, and declare a monthly champion?
