Heading out next weekend to see Lindsey Buckingham kick off his new tour in Reno. My father was supposed to go with but he just isn't up to a four hour car ride. So off I will go, solo, staying just one night as I really don't feel comfortable leaving him on his own any longer than that.
This will be my first "vacation" in many years. I'm looking for tips on where to eat and where the best blackjack and slots are located. Would also enjoy seeing some mostly naked women gyrate if possible. I really need a break from real life so I need to make the most of this trip.

I know I'm the only Lindsey Buckingham fan on this board but I thought it might be worth mentioning that his new album, Seeds We Sow, is an Amazon mp3 deal for $3.99, today only.

Johnny Cash suggest killing a man and watching him die.

On Reno trips I would usually stay at Circus Circus. There are several hotels interconnected right there, CC, El Dorado, The Nugget and The Sands. Harrah's is close by as well.
For food, the Peppermill was where we'd head if someone won big. As for the other part, I seem to remember a place not too far from the hotels, maybe named the Spice House?
But as a caveat, the last time I was in Reno was about 10 years ago.

Gyrating: you're on your own
Well he can gyrate his own at home. I'm sure he's tired of that.

Thanks very much for the suggestions. The show was cancelled. They offered me a shitty seat for the next night. Screw 'em. Trip's off.

After a couple days of feeling sorry for myself I sent an email to and eventually spoke with the ticket supervisor for the Nugget. He was very kind and helped me into a much better seat than they originally offered. I'm very happy to say my trip is on again.
Very good customer service at the Nugget.

I did make that trip and everything worked out great. The concert was excellent and the staff at the Nugget was great. I didn't gamble there but did have a pretty good meal inexpensive meal in their diner.
The tips about the Peppermill were right on. I played most of my blackjack there. I played the $5 tables that featured the 'Royal Match' side bet. I was pretty lucky with the RM bets, enough to cover the losses from my poor blackjack play. In fact, I won enough to cover my gas and room for the trip.
What an amazing show. Going to see Lindsey again on Oct 25 up in Napa.

I don't know why, but I hoping that this was going to be a bit of a sexier thread.
