Hey so I'll be in St. Louis next week. Pretty much locked up in meetings and with corporate types for dinners and the like, but I am going to be going to the Cardinals/Mets game Wednesday night.

I've attended a game there before, but I pretty much holed up in the corporate suite. This time I'll be out and about as well. Is there any thing I should make sure I do in stadium? Anything can't miss?

Also a co-worker of mine is going to be there for a more extended stay, and he's interested in finding some highly recommended local dining. We'll be in Clayton for the most part.

Anyone have any tips on either the ball park or local good eats?

All Right, I've gone and did a forum search and found several references to IMO's pizza. I really like cracker thin crust, so would that make it a solid choice, or is this stuff really best left to you St Louis natives?

What about BBQ? There has to be some nice BBQ in St Louis...doesn't there? What about the ball park? Any good food there?

IMO's isn't bad.. but try to get here to eat thin crust St. Louis style pizza:

Pirrones Pizza, Banquet Center, St. Louis Style Pizza, Private Parties, St. Peters and Florrissant MO (http://www.pirronespizza.com/)

At the ball park, I always go for the hot dog that's grilled (you'll smell it) along with grilled onions and sauerkraut, don't forget the mustard!

Bandana's has decent BBQ.. but with Kansas City not too far away, it's hard to get excited about BBQ in St. Louis. :)

Bandanas Bar-B-Q (http://www.bandanasbbq.com/)

If don't have a Steak n Shake where you live, best burgers around:

Steak 'n Shake (http://www.steaknshake.com/)

Thanks on the suggestions. I might have to sneak out myself for a Steak and Shake.

Speaking of shakes. The other thread mentioned a frozen custard place, Ted Drewes. Also I recall a Man versus Food with a place that makes their own Ice cream, Google tells me that was Crown Candy.

Any recommendations for frozen treats? If we can only make one of those, which one do we aim at?

I did enjoy Imos last time I was in St. Louis. The new Cardinals Stadium is a great place to watch a game, btw. Absolutely loved it.

Ted Drewes is good, although the closest thing to me is Fritz.. which is also excellent.
