Yeah, I tried this a long time ago, it boils down to I can give you a default as far as blitzing...but coverages and game plan and personnel has to be modified week in and week out to where it doesn't really help you...and with this out here and the BPR guys even torching double teams, it doesn't matter...best defensive gameplan as Ben has stated a lot, get guys with lots of red bars..

For newbs to the game, having something to work with is better than nothing. When I first played the game, I didn't know how to put a defensive gameplan together until I got one that somebody had shared. Then I read a defensive guide, I believe by Yoda, and it finally let me know what I needed in order to modify that existing gameplan week to week depending on who I am facing. I still, however, would have had a really hard time building this from scratch.
Any gameplan library is fantastic for single players. It allows you to pick on offensive system which your players will fit into and have success in.

I think I posted a defense a long time ago. I'll try to dig it up. It's still the only thing I have, use, or know anything about. It's basically 0-50-50-0 in most 1st and 2nd down situations, nothing really worth explaining or detailing. In most cases, I just play a standard defense. Only against people who regularly do something unusual do I bother with changing defensive schemes at all. I've gone plenty of entire seasons without ever touching the defensive game plan screen, and they do ok. I posted in one of the other threads the most important pointer that I know of regarding defense.

What are your thoughts on blizting?

Defense broken off. Effects of blitzing are pretty obvious from GP Analyzer. Higher risk, higher reward.
I have found that I get a higher PR% when I don't blitz at all... then again, that might be because of the way I build my teams.

Same same.
I like cover LB's so I imagine it's longer for the QB to get the ball off hence the hurries.
Your mileage may vary.
