Ok, I've got a couple questions I just can't seem to answer myself with the demo version.

I do know that the game does not support expansion, but I see you can use alternate roster files when starting a new game, I also see the community has provided custom "Historical" roster and draft files. Nice!

What I am wondering is this though...if I use a custom roster file to start in the year 2001, will the league only have 31 teams and then when I finish the season and move to 2002, will the Houston Texans join the league as an expansion team? Or, are the number of teams hard coded and unable to be changed?

I am guessing (based on information at the bottom of the first post in this thread (http://www.operationsports.com/fofc/showthread.php?t=55962)) that they are hard coded and unable to be changed. I also assume regardless of what year you begin in the league will have 32 teams, no more and no less.

I'm also wondering about changing your controlled team manually. Seeing as there is an option to turn on or off whether or not managers can be fired, would it be possible (using some commissioner mode or the like) to switch teams whenever I like? Along with that thought, can teams be "relocated" so to speak, using my example above about the Texans, when year 2002 rolls around, could I take the Texans and instead of them being the Texans, make them from Portland, Las Vegas, or some where else?

Thanks in advance and take care,

Expansion teams that weren't yet part of the league the year of that roster file will still be part of the roster and the league, they just won't have a real roster. I don't know if their roster has fake players or real players cut from other teams.

I'm actually playing an historical league right now. I started with the expansion Bucs and am playing through. It's really fun, but the only downside to playing historical is that there are a lot less players with high potentials entering the draft, so you won't find too many draft steals and the starting league player is, on average, less talented than they may be in a native FOF league. It's still pretty fun.
