Has anyone ever experienced a blood clot in their leg?
I am having this pain in my right leg. It is more like a cramp or a dull ache that seems to originate from the middle of my calf. It seems to be radiating from that area. At times, it feels like my foot is going to sleep.
I don't know if this is a blood clot or not. I've had a kidney stone before and that kind of had the same sort of feeling and since that is sort of lock a blockage, I wonder since the pain is the same if this is a clot.

I haven't, step dad has.....symptoms were very close to what you are saying...I would say get in asap...but I am not a dr, never played a dr, never attempted to be a dr, just paranoid when it comes to the CV stuff...

You sure it's not your spleen?
;) I'm sure you're fine, but go get checked out ASAP.

I'd go to a 24 hour clinic or ER now. Blood clots aren't things to play with. Waiting too long could be fatal.

Mrs Tyke did towards the end of her first pregnancy. It was serious business - she was hospitalized for a week. For her second pregnancy, she gave herself an injection every day (Coumadin as a blood thinner).
I echo the other sentiments to get this checked out as soon as possible.

I had the feeling for about 3-4 hours and now it is gone.
Is a blood clot something that can come and go? What I mean is, can the discomfort, etc. come and go or is it a steady feeling?

More clinic/ER, less "Cool, it went away. I'll keep posting about it."

Hopefully this is not 1 of a 2 part thread. 6 months from now I don't want to see "dealing with after effects of a stroke".

War....farin. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing(except blood thinning).

In and out of the ER in about 2 hours. They did an ultrasound of my leg and didn't find a blood clot. They checked a couple of other things ans didn't find anything. So, I really don't know what the deal was.
Thanks for the concern you guys.

Good news. It's better to be cautious about that sort of thing.

Good call, regardless of what they did/didn't find.
Most people aren't smart enough to do what you did (me included).

Very good news...
As I said, step-dad had it, he was in ICU for about 4 days as they had to give him a thinner, keep him under observation and at one point in time they were thinking surgery was needed and would have to go in and remove it. Which they did 2 months later when it came back...told him he was lucky to have his leg still..

The symptoms sound kind of similar to when my sciatica first started to set in...pain in the leg and numbness in the foot. Do you have any history of back issues?

Or most people when they go to their doctor about it are ignored and are talked to about hypertension and other fucking things that have nothing to do with what they went to the doctor about.
