Good deal. This may be the best version of OOTP.

I bought this after watching Game 6 of the World Series...I have OOTP11, and OOTP X and had decided to not buy 12 but Game 6 pushed me into getting this year's version. Markus owes David Freese a portion of my $19.99...

So...is there a way to opt out of the "call home" feature with the 12.5.38 patch? I understand you wanting to gather analytics to decide how to invest development hours, but some of us have limited internet connections, and I really don't want to burn my bandwidth or bug out my game just so OOTP can report home what screens I've visiting.

I'm assuming the license agreement was updated to reflect this behavior. I honestly didn't check. Who reads the EULA?

ETA: This might all be self-evident once you fire up the game. I installed the patch last night and didn't get around to reading the change log for 12.5.38 until I got to work this morning.

I bought it when I figured I wouldn't....haven't touched it yet. But it's there on the HD....the link on the desktop staring at me.

This game is a lot of fun just playing as a manager for a minor league team. No roster decisions to make, don't have to pay attention to any players not on your roster - just manage the roster, lineup, staff, and games, with the chaos of guys being brought in and dumped without notice. It will be fun to see which of the guys, if any, who are a big part of my rookie league team will manage to make anything of themselves in the majors.

So, I RDP'd into my machine at home to see how this feature behaves. The settings for the call home feature are in Preferences under the Misc tab. It's disabled by default, so no worries.
