I was just wondering what some places would be to check out if I were to visit Toronto for a few days (3-5)? I've never been there, so I was thinking of going this December. We have a few Ontario people on here, so thought I'd ask the collective FOFC opinion, thanks!

I have nothing to add other than I thought the title of the thread said "Trombone Attractions".
OK, wait, I have a co-worker from Toronto...

Most definitely...and it's a few blocks from the CN Tower and Skydome (or whatever it's called now). Wayne Gretzky's bar/restaurant is close by as well.

I second the CN Tower and the Hall of Fame. also, if you have a car and some time to kill I recommend driving to Niagra Falls. It is a bit of a drive but if it is the only chance you'll get to see it in the near future you should.

This...isn't Canada basically just Toronto and bunch of rinks?
Anywho...
The only time I went to Toronto, Mrs. SR was about 7 months pregnant. We both had some vacation time to use, but didn't want to go very far, and had already done Niagra Falls before.
We did the HHOF and the CN Tower. And walked around downtown and went in Eaton Centre.

If you are going without your significant other I recommend some Canadian Ballet...

I'd head down to the kensington market, there is always lots going on and will be quite a shift from the more sterile culture of downtown.

Also little italy is a great neighbourhood to walk around and hit up little shops and restaurants as well.

IF you're interested in touring a castle - Casa Loma is a great place to see.

Two words for you...Brass Rail...
You'll thank me later.
LOL Eaton Center and then across the street to the brass rail sounds good!

Go to an Argonauts game and wonder how a professional football team can be that bad.
If you happen to go to Miami anytime soon, do the same thing, except replace "Argonauts" with "Dolphins."

I've been to Toronto a few times. Can't really remember much.
Be sure to smoke their weed, though.

I'm not from Toronto!!
Thanks for the suggestions. I'd be going with my sister and possibly another friend. Never been, and it's an opportunity to go with others.

I went to a VooDoo game, so I know that feeling.
Ok, just kidding, not a VoodDoo game... but I'm sure I saw the Devils play the old Jets. Maybe Kirk Muller was there. Same thing anyway, just different sport.

I've wanted to do that since I was a kid, so that's a definite for me.

If you are a millionaire, you can always buy scalper tickets to a Leafs game.
There is a great theatre district so if shows are your thing, you can definitely find something of interest.
BTW: Niagara Falls (where I'm from) is only about an hour and ten minutes or so from Toronto during normal times - it would only be two hours if you're leaving the downtown core at rush hour.

Would anyone know if there are readily available shuttle buses or something that go from somewhere downtown (i.e. a hotel location) to both Niagara Falls and the outlets at vaughan mills mall? I think I'd prefer to not rent a car, since parking downtown would suck... and we would only really need a car for those two things.
