4-3 DE pass rush

Hi, i rex all the defense and offense and just concentrate on the hiring firing and of staff and players in my solo game. i use a 4-3 defense but rarely see my DE get sacks..why is this? i have drafted specifically for pass rush strength and technique in these positions but usually finish the season with DE getting 2 sacks each with DT being the main threat.

How can i maximise the DE pass rush ability or is the game not really setup for this..though in real life the DE in the 4-3 are the main sack threat.

I've gotten much better sack totals when almost entirely not blitzing, and that's not just out of the DE's, but out of all players. I get good sack totals using a defense where the nickel is used in all passing situations (so I can put my pass rushers in) and normal & goalline are only used against the run.
