Here is something interesting I found.
I am assuming that regardless of height and weight, a RT with full experience at LT can be slotted to that position and play it just as well as if he were an LT himself. Likewise for a DLT with full experience at NT, and a RCB with full experience at LCB, and so on.
I noticed that switching a player's position would alter their contract demands. Some case studies from my CyFL team, for players that have red exp at all positions being changed to...

FL: 4 yr, 22.72m (SE is the same)
LT: 2 yr, 14.72m (2yr, 13.57m as RT)
LT: 4yr, 52.73m (4yr, 43.46m as RT)
LDE: 3yr, 23.71m (RDE is the same)
NT: 4yr, 54.45m (4yr, 48.67m as DLT or DRT)
SLB: 5yr, 53.87m (WLB is the same)
SILB: 5yr, 47.43m (WILB is the same)
LCB: 5yr, 74.73m (RCB is the same)
SS: 4yr, 22.18m (4yr, 23.82m as FS)
FS: 5yr, 24.89 (5yr, 22.76m as SS)
The LT and RT, and especially the NT and DT ones are striking to me. Even if I'm running a 3-4, why wouldn't I move my NT with red experience at DLT/DRT to one of those and save millions on the renegotiations?
And why ever have a LT? Once they are at red experience, move them to RT...and save big on contract extensions. Same too for FS/SS, although it's not a big difference.
Now, if that's true, is it possible to go even further? Get a stud corner full red experience at a safety position, move him there to renegotiate, and keep slotting him as a CB. Move your stud tackles to guard without loss of ratings, and keep slotting them at tackle...
