View Full Version : Jonesing for a TCY Dynasty (ie: Name your school)

I'm Jonesing to start up a TCY/FOF dynasty. Not a coaching dynasty but one following a recruit from bring recruited through into a possible pro career.

It's been a while since I did one of these and I know that they can be risky to do as the player could flop at some point.

Because of that I am looking at following several recruits. The question is how to pick them.

That brings me to this thread.

I'll pick from a list of high schools of your choosing. Let me know what high school you want me to add to my follow list.

It will be a little while in the making as I will actually get the dynasty going before I start posting (I have already gotten TCY to 2026, to get some history) and am catching FOF up, using the draft classes from each year. I went with fictional league from the start so the NFL history will be a short one but will be a history of its own.

Let me know what high school (or town) you would like me to include.

Galesburg High School, Galesburg IL (I don't think I've ever seen a decent recruit outta there).

Quick check and I see 1 recruit from there.

6'5", 270 pound tackle. 409th ranked overall, 38th by position. 16th in the state and top ranked tackle in the state.

Depending on how many I get I may follow for a few recruiting classes.

This isn't starting well. Don't see any from there.

Utah does have the #3 rated recruit (#2 rated QB) from Manti.

I see nothing in the first two.

In Spring there is a 6'2", 184 pound quarterback that is not ranked nationally and 11th rated QB in the state.

Don't see that one, do see a Bayshore from there.

Funny...Bayshore has a lousey football program. Manatee has won 6 State Championships. Tommy Frasier was from Manatee...

Bayshore or Southeast will do if you have them...

If Galesburg sucks (which ironically, you got a better recruit outta there than I think I ever have seen in any TCY game I've played)...is Palm Springs High School, Palm Springs, CA in there?

Unfortunately the High School I played at South HS in SLC closed a few years after I graduated, so I will go with schools I have coached at.

I should have looked closer at Bayshore. Both from there are punters. One is ranked 354th nationally (9th punter nationally). I guess that would tie in to that team sucking as they have combined for over 40 punts in 4 games. :)

Don't see Southeast.

This isn't working out very well. I may keep an eye on these schools and track them for a few seasons.

With that said I may start a different dynasty that I was thinking up. It's more of a fantasy draft competition where those involved have a "team" selected which will earn points towards their score similar to fantasy football. I would then sim through each week of their college and then pro career to crown a winner.

Hey, you could always fire up the tried but true interactives. Lets us pick a recruit and track our guys. They always seem to die out after awhile, but always fun.

I actually like the fantasy football idea with the recruits. Trying to flesh it out a bit first.

Cyprus usually never did have a lot :)

Westview may be listed in Phoenix or Goodyear in the game, but I know they are there :)
