I was looking at the Amazon CD thread and it made me wonder how many people are aware of a service that your local library has that allows you to download music for free?
Freegal is a service that your library can sign up to be a part of and it makes the Sony music collection available for download. You are allowed to download 3 songs per week for free.
I've downloaded 3 or 4 CD's worth this year alone. I've gotten both the new Foo Fighters and Adele with this service.
I attached a screenshot of what it looks like on my library's site. It's only 3 songs per week, but hey it's free so you can't complain.
