This is part of a trend in books that are being written. Jane Austen was the first one and it had zombies in it.

No, Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter is actually an idea. Maybe a bad one, but it's an idea.

I saw the movie Idiocracy. I didn't think much of it, but damned if it might be the greatest cautionary tale of where we are headed than anything I have ever seen.

Yup. At least the vampire hunting Abe Lincoln idea is original. I can only hope the first few vampires he kills, sparkle.

I agree. I saw "Idiocracy" just a few months ago and am stunned how many times I've seen things or read about things that immediately make me think about a line or situation from that movie.
"Ow My Balls!", indeed.

Apparantly it (Lincoln the Vampire killer) opens (in limited release) this weekend. And, from what I've read ... it will do well, and may be pretty good.

Will it always be too soon for a War on Terrorism situation comedy? For some reason I've been watching some old M*A*S*H reruns lately (Henry Blake/Trapper episodes) and been laughing out loud even though I've seen them a million times.
