Hey everyone, welcome to yet another week of Hattrick showdowns.

I'm FrogMan and this thread is where you are invited to post about your weekly games...

I'll start with mine. Yep, you've guessed right, the Pittbulls play yet another bot teams, in their quest to surge out of div V in Canada. The Winnipeg Nordiques are the only team that didn't lose all of its games against the Pittbulls predecessor, a team called Fiery Men. They succeded in getting a 0-0 tie in week 4 of season 18 versus the Fiery Men.

I'm playing my A team today, telling them to play it cool in hope to boost the team spirit in preparation to the upcoming FOFC cup. He, He, He...

I'll tell you more as the first updates show up on the teleprompter...

first updates just got in...

The match is in progress, 19 minutes of the first half have been played.
11562 spectators had come to Pintendre Pittbulls Arena this cloudy day. Pintendre tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. They fielded: Slesser - Hellsjö, Silfwerling, de Carvalho, Ball - Peltola, Rasmussen, Rossten, Mårtensson, Lyles - Kolokotronis.

Nordiques had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Kilgallon - Crutchley, Weinfeld, McIntosh, Bale - Stephenson, Loughran, Cantin, Michel - García, MacAuliffe.

Not much other action so far. My team ID is 108238, for all of you Criollo users...

In other games in Canada
bbors (29830) are up 1-0 after 21
Les Joujoux (72681) are tied 1-1 after 22
Goldfish (72717) are up 1-0 after 22
Falmouth United (108006) are up 1-0 after 23

FrogMan

okay, the board seem faster now. Was it just me or did everyone experience the slowness??

anyway, still no score in Pintendre, only one wide shot...

After a fine move down the middle Anders Mårtensson nearly gave the home side one up in the 32nd minute. The finishing shot went just wide, though.

okay, first goal scored. I feel better now. I expect to win the possession game by a landslide, but was worried my 4-5-1 would have trouble scoring...

Pintendre's Vincent Lyles scored 1 - 0 by shooting accurately and hard from a long distance, leaving the opponent goalie no other option than to pick up the ball from the net.

Dam frog... is your whole divison bot teams??

FrogMan
04-27-2003, 04:53 PM
yes, it is. after that tiny division at the top, called All-Canadian, we also have a few All-bot divisions...

It kinda sucks, but I view it as an almost certain ticket to go back to div IV. It makes my game planning and player buying decision a btit different than most other teams...

FrogMan

FrogMan

elsewhere in Canada, at halftime:

bbors (29830) are tied 1-1 (they won possession 52%)
Les Joujoux (72681) are up 3-1 (they won possession with 67%)
Goldfish (72717) are up 2-1 (they lost possession with 47%)
Falmouth United (108006) are tied 1-1 (they lost possession with 42%)

For my Pittbulls, we are still ahead 1-0 winning the possession battle with an impressive 86% in the first half.

Here we are, live at the Bladium in Toledo less than half an hour away from the V.62 co-leading Hippos fourth fixture of the season. They will be taking on unpredictable middie Wade Rees and the 4th place Toledo Blades, last seasons Div IV relegees.

The Hippos have a new toy at wingback in Marcel Romo and due to form troubles, Dafoe Chang will be playing in place of Juan Miguel Tizon at forward. These moves shouldn't be a problem but a rockin' Bladium and playing a team that will likely be in the top three in the league when the season is over could be problems. They tend to run a 4-5-1 or 5-4-1 so hopefully the move at forward will not affect the Hippo assault any.

Anyways, back to everyone at FrogMan's Pond.

Getting ready for the showdown in V.230 tonight, at home against Ft.Worth United, both of us with 9 points so far. I slipped from PoE to delirous last night, but otherwise everything points to a convincing victory for the home side.

In other news, I'm still kicking myself for not going all out in my last cup match. Live and learn I guess, I won't make the same mistake next year. Congrats again to those of you that advanced another round in the cup.

Today I face off against the only other undefeated, untied team in my series. We took over out reams at the same time towards the end of last season, and neither of us has lost a match. I decided to PIC today to help out with my cup match. I think I can still win my series, even if I lose today at his place.

I'm pretty with the final score, a 2-0 win with 86 and 94% possession. On top of that, we end up whit those game ratings

Pintendre Pittbulls
Player rating and Team formation
Midfield: weak
Right Side Defence: passable
Central Defence: solid
Left Side Defence: solid
Right Side Attack: inadequate
Central Attack: weak
Left Side Attack: poor
NSI: 44

And that's all while playing it cool...

Ffinal scores in Canada:

Bbors tied 1-1
Pintendre Pittbulls won 2-0
Goldfish lost 6-2
Les Joujoux won 6-1
Falmouth United lost 5-1

USA games about to begin. Good luck to our FOFC friends South of the border!!!

Dude, don't worry. This is what, your third league game and I see you posted a rating of 46 last week. That's awesome. This week was my team's 8th league game and we posted a 44 playing PIC, maybe a 46, or 47 on normal. But before that, my best on normal was 42...

Maybe you won't beat everybody this season, but it'll come. In my short time playing this game, I've learned that you have to plan for the future...

That being said, go enjoy your game now :)

crap. 10 minutes in, and i'm winning, but one of my Mids is out:

One of many good passes from Lorenzo Walker at the wing was recieved and skillfully taken care of by Charles Diaz, scoring for United to 1 - 0. As Mike Mcmillan had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the United player a red card without batting an eye. After an industrious effort down the middle Samuel Marshall could have closed the game off in the 10:th minute, but his finishing shot hit the post.

BTW, Only 5695 showed up? I am getting closer to 600 supporters. If I cant even fill my little 7000 seat stadium Im in trouble.

The match is in progress, 32 minutes of the first half have been played.
5696 spectators had come to Toledo Drunkards Arena this cloudy day. Drunkards started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Oleary - Clarke, Henriksson, Matson - Schell, Dyrhult, Boyd, Suchy, Moghaddam - Heiramo, Godbom.

Burninators had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Upton - Meier, Swärdbrant, Petty, Antona - Gottgård, Davison, García Sole, Eldridge - Taylor, Francis.

Some beautiful plays on the left side of the field resulted in a 11th minute goal by Carl Boyd for Drunkards, putting them ahead 1 - 0. Gunnar Swärdbrant of Burninators received a yellow card in the 21st minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 22 minutes Burninatorss José Antonio García Sole had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. The Spikes jumped out to a 3-0 lead. Within minutes of pulling back, the opposition answered to cut the lead to 2. Moments later we pushed the lead back to three.

<i>In the 34:th minute Complex put themselves up 4 - 1. The visitors defenders lost the ball to Tony Spicer coming up from the left, who proceeded to cooly round the goaltender and knock the ball home. By then Tony Spicer was a three time scorer - a hat trick! </i>

The match is in progress, it´s half time.
A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 21912 to Bee Hive. Bees started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Muller - Martin, Rodrigues, Sherwood - Bortone, Peris, Sheldon, Wolford, Moyer - Gallegos, Ladd.

Chiva had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Ranjith - Kamesivic , Hon-Yui, Holder - Sinclair, Bajo Fernández, Streeter, Ali, Pajares Montolío - Bass, Tortajada.

In the 20:th minute Beess Antonio Peris received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Due to a severely mistimed tackle,Eugenio Tortajada spent some on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. In the games 27:th minute Bees´s Chad Gallegos fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Chad Gallegos for taking a dive. Bob Bass had a good try in the 28:th minute, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. In the games 30:th minute Bees´s Robert Rodrigues fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Robert Rodrigues for taking a dive. The teams went for a half-time break at 0 - 0. Bees, bringing the final ball possession rate to 62 percent, dominated the battle.

If anyone wants to see a good game, we're MOTSing the top team in the division at home and have a scoreless draw at halftime. Bees - 70510

Too many cards in the first half, and they had the only scoring opportunity. This does not look good.

G-Vegas FC @ Thick Chicks.

I'm playing away today. It seems my team's stamina has taken over.

The match is in progress, 35 minutes of the second half have been played.
14666 spectators arrived at Thick Chicks Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Chicks tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. They fielded: Hudgins - Sanz, Bellucci, Sherrod - Cobb, Cardona, Ring, Knowles, Story - Mcguire, Sullivan.

G-Vegas had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Ledesma - James, Carrasco, Qureshi - Bonilla Mangas, Ahlgård, Orfila, Uribe, Reyna - Zavallos, Freijedo.

Sebastián Zavallos had a good try in the 5:th minute, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. The referee showed G-Vegass Sebastián Zavallos the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Chicks created a good opportunity to score in the games 20:th minute when Lorenzo Sullivan`s hooked ball created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. The referee showed Chickss Mack Mcguire the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The teams went for a half-time break at 0 - 0. G-Vegas held the ball, with a clear 61 percent possession rate.

In the 46:th minute the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending and Per Ahlgård put the ball away for 0 - 1. The game had been on for 64 minutes when John James broke through to the right, upping the score to the home crowd´s dismay. G-Vegas´s were up 0 - 2. In the 64:th minute the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 3 as Leoncio Freijedo finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.

In the 21st minute the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending and Ron Wilde put the ball away for 0 - 1. In the 36:th minute, Bombers´s Nathan MacDavid made a rush down the left, leaving him free to put the 1 - 1 equaliser away. Rod Hernandez sailed high, high above the opponents as he headed the 1-2 in after a corner kick after 37 minutes of play. Nathan MacDavid of Bombers received a yellow card in the 37:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After a fatal mistake from the away teams right side defense in the 38:th minute, an alert José Ellsworth bagged the ball, evening the score to 2 - 2. Garrett Croft of Bombers received a yellow card in the 39:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 2 - 2 was the half-time score. Bombers, bringing the final ball possession rate to 63 percent, dominated the battle.

Michael Beneking toiled away as usual, but the heat made him exhausted and he looked kind of pale at the end of the game. The referee showed Bomberss José Ellsworth the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. In the 53rd minute cheers broke out as Garrett Croft found his way through the guests central defense line, clipping the 3 - 2 goal in for Bombers. Some brilliant football from the visitors right wing resulted in a 55:th minute levelling of scores as Chicss Michael Beneking equalised to 3 - 3. In the games 67:th minute Bombers´s David Cornelius fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked David Cornelius for taking a dive. Bombers held the ball, with a clear 71 percent possession rate.

Most important Bombers player was Heliodoro Alonso. David Cornelius on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Chics player was without a doubt Franklin Castro. Spencer Sullivan on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 3.

Won 10-0, with two players getting hattricks. Still holding 1st place until I have to play the class of our division in two weeks.

The Complex Spikes won 7-1 -- my division sucks.

Next weak I travel to face the division leader (+20 goal differential, 24 total goals scored to my +20 GD, and only 22 goals scored). Just to indicate that this is really a 2 man race, the third place team has scored only 3 goals all season.

At least I will finally have an interesting league match.

Well I played the 3rd place team today. I played it normal, and was away, I scored in the 56th minute but the equalized in the 83rd minute. Oh well, this keeps me tied for second with 7 points.

next week I play a new team, and then I play the guy in 4th, so It looking good for two more weeks. I also pulled a guy with passable winger and passable passing. he should improve my team some. with this other guy I just bought, Im looking to hold onto second place...

First, I'll start with the good part of my game, earning a 1 - 1 tie against the top team in my series. Quite an accomplishment I belive being his goal differential was 13 - 2 before hand. Scored 1 minute in too, and did it all in their house. Woohoo!!!

The bad part is injuries, and how they probably kept me from winning. I lost my top player who's my best defender and forward, playing at forward for the first time for a week midway through the first, and my best playmaker at wing for two weeks early in the second. Guy who replaced my forward was worst player of the game, and my winger misses out on winger training for the week.

Happy with the tie in a way, but in seeing I could have won without injuries I'm a little disappointed. Pissed the injuries, but I think I should still be able to win next week.

Nyarlahotep, thanks for keeping everyone informed of my match for a while. I always have to work during the games, so it's always nice to have people announcing it for me.

Everyone make sure to watch my league match next week with the #1 team and cheater in my series.

1. Man U Wannabes 4 15 - 5 10

2. NE Oklahoma Sidekic 4 20 - 4 9

No problem, except you were scoring faster than I could keep up with. Good luck next week.

Well, I won 6-0 to move into third place. I've won 6-0 probably 5x now, and can never score more than 6. Weird. Oh yeah, I lost one of my mids 10 minutes into the game w/ a Red :/

Anyways, I have this kid, Alexandre Figueiredo Costa, who plays Central D for me who has been my MOM for 3 consecutive matches. I bought him for 85k, and it looks to be working out quite nicely :)
