For those that haven't been following the story, it was pretty special. The parents of a terminally ill girl decided to create a bucket list for her and did all they could to cover the bucket list while increasing awareness for her disease. They created a blog that she 'wrote' about all of her experiences.
Unfortunately, she passed away yesterday. The good news is that her blog has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to fund research to find a cure for her disease.

dreadful for any parent to have to endure outliving their child. Gonna give Colin an extra hug tonight.

I don't know if there's a God or not, but I've been blesses with three healthy, happy children. For that I am thankful.
My heart goes out to Avery's parents, I don't think I could handle a similar situation with that kind of strength.

I couldn't even finish reading, what a horribly sad, yet amazingly inspirational story. With over 3 million views 600K plus raised she made an impact on the world the majority of us could never imagine in lifetime, let alone 6 short months.
RIP Avery and thank you for touching my life.

I would encourage you all to skip past the final post if you can and read some of the other posts with pictures. They really were able to do a lot of fantastic things with her and the parents really made the post funny and light-hearted.
