View Full Version : Joining a multiplayer league

Sorry for posting two threads at the same time, but they are too unrelated to justify lumping together.

I'm just wondering about the Multiplayer online leagues that exist. I see there are the fast paced game and also one which sims a game every day. Is there anywhere which lists all the available leagues to join? This is my situation:

1) I live in the UK, I don't know if this poses a problem in terms of time difference with other managers.

2) My NFL knowledge is only average (been following for 3 or 4 seasons), and I am a rookie on FOF. I do my best with play calling, but I'm still pretty clueless!

3) I think I'd prefer to play with random player files (and maybe teams too), just because it annoys me when real players don't appear to have accurate stats in the game, and also it kind of gives an advantage to someone with good actual NFL knowledge.

So ideally I'd be looking for a league which is fairly slow paced (one or two sims per week) with its fair share of rookies. I know if I joined the main league on here I'd go 0-16 every year, haha!

In the meantime, there's always my single player season to be getting on with!

Thanks

Not perfectly updated, but worth a look:

The RDFL sounds perfect for you. We are a U.K league, 2 game sims a week, in the 2021 season so not too many "real" players still around and have a good mix of veteran and rookie GM's with the established guys extremelly helpful and willing to give advice.
Link to the league site is The RealDeal Football League Homepage (http://www.bearsruletheworld.com/rdfl/) and if you P.M me here i can give you the contact details of the commish. To the best of my knowledge we currently have 1 team available in the Steelers.

I'm in a very similar situation to mrfahaji.
I also play with the idea of joining a multi-player online league.

Does anyone know if there is a league in Germany?

I wouldn't let location affect your decision too much. I live in Germany, and I'm in four leagues based in the US. Most of the leagues have people from France, Germany, Australia, Sweden... most activity is asynchronous, so as long as you keep your time zones straight, it's not a problem. It's not ideal for trading sometimes, but not awful.

Thank you all for taking the time and the effort to answer so helpful and so informative. :)

I took the plunge.

I am now the new GM of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the RDFL.

May God be gracious to Pittsburgh!

So it was you who took the last place! Haha, to be fair I was hesitating about the Steelers and have since been able to take the Chiefs. Although I know nothing about them. I'm also joining the BPFL - so much for taking it slowly!

I echo the sentiments of Templar - thanks to everyone who got in touch about the available leagues.

Hey, this is great news.

RDFL is a league with few members, it makes the casual family atmosphere.

Tonight is the last regular season game of the 2021 season.
Neither Pittsburgh nor Kansas City will participate in a Championship play-offs 2021. :(

Well, our hopes must be pinned on the season 2022.
