Glad to see Fareed Zakaria get busted. I've always hated his articles on CNN. Most of them come across as very smarmy and dull.

And props to Cam for spotting the plagiarism.

I felt he had an occasional good article but seemed to think he had to crank out an article a day - most of them pretty lousy.

Writes the same BIG!!!!!! IDEAS!!!!! crap as David Brooks, Tom Friedman, etc. I suspect, though, this was the work of an intern and not Zakaria. Despite the dreck he turns out, I can't imagine he's this stupid.

Speaking if which, where was I when you became a big shot writer? Am I the last to know this? Guess I should follow hockey more.

Probably busy at your "People who don't care about hockey" meeting, with 99% of the US population.

But thanks...

A friend of mine sent me a link to the story of the draft of Gary Bettman's Hall of Fame speech, and I thought to myself, "Hey, this is funny." Then I saw the writer's name, and I thought, "Hey, I used to know a guy with that name." Then I thought, "Hey, he liked hockey too." Then I thought, "Wait a minute, I think some of these jokes were used to describe my acquisition of Oil Can Trapani in the RWBL!"

Four hours later, a furious search of the Internet led me to your signature here at FOFC, which answered all my questions.

I bow before you and take back most of my cracks about how if I want to read Grantland on a regular basis, I need to quit my job so I can wade through the 4,000 word manifestos. Your manifestos are much more readible.
