We are the Alternate Universe Football League (AUFL). The AUFL imagines a world in which the NFL expanded in 1983, adding four USFL clubs to get to 32. The league just started its 19th season -- 2001 -- and is in Staff Hiring. The league sims 3 games a week (MWF) during the regular season.

TO CLAIM A TEAM:

Register at the web site (above). You will have to answer a simple question to prove you're not a bot. Once you're approved, PM the commissioner (commish) and claim your team. Any questions or problems, PM me here or at the AUFL web site.


Available Teams

Denver Broncos.

Chicago Bears. The Bears have been claimed.

Green Bay Packers.

New York Giants.

New York Jets. The Jets have been claimed.


The AUFL has a mix of veteran owners and new players, so all are welcome. Koprnkc (Falcons) and normalboy (Chiefs) just faced off in the 2000 Super Bowl. The world-renowned Firefly (Showboats) is a founding member, and draft guru wesley3044 (aka Bighouserulez) is the Lions owner.

The Packers are my old team and they just went to the finals and worth a shot for someone that wants to win right away.

League is awesome. There's some gurus, some noobs and some regular ole' gms. Great bunch of guys. Perfect time to join as we are just starting the offseason.

The league is a lot of fun. Just when you come to New Orleans to play, it'll be awfully quiet. We seem to have an attendance problem in the Big Easy. :rolleyes:

The 2001 draft class is out. Drew Brees and Michael Vick are at QB. There's also RB LaDainian Tomlinson and WR T.J. Houshmanzadeh.

The Bears have been claimed. That leaves the Broncos, Packers and Giants.

The draft is currently running untimed, but it officially starts on Monday, September 10.

AUFL has some new openings as we prepare the 2002 season - our 20th season since the league launched with the 1983 campaign! The draft class is out and we are just starting free agency.

The available teams are the Giants, Eagles, Bears, Bills, Lions and Packers.

We have a very solid group of GMs - a nice mix of veterans and relative newcomers and welcome any and all GMs, regardless of your level of experience with the game.
