10 days in Miami

I've booked myself a trip to Miami end of September: got tickets for the Dolphins, Hurricanes and Marlins, and bought myself a Lonely Planet book so will have the standard touristy destinations to hand

Any other tips on where to go, places to eat/drink?

South Beach is high on the list. Tons of places to eat/drink/people watch there. If you'll have a car, then a drive out in the keys is always interesting. It takes 4-6 hours one way to make it from Miami all the way to Key West.

I haven't been back in a few years, but for a long time it was highly advised to avoid Miami between the airport and downtown.
