So I won a football that my boss had autographed at the Heisman ceremony by RGIII last year. (Apparently she was a high school Heisman winner and goes every year to the event and gets autographed footballs) So some of my co-workers told me I should sell it. Having some sports knowledge and a basic understanding of the internets I did some searching but was wondering if there is a better option than Ebay. I have no idea if the fact that he signed it at the ceremony makes it more valuable or less (it is an official ball but has no Heisman logo or anything) and also figure all of the starting bids on ebay are pretty pointless as they all have zero bids. Any advice? Places to go?
Also do you think I would get her in trouble for re-selling a Heisman ball?
Anyone here interested in buying it? :)

Sounds like you should take it to Vegas for Pawn Stars.

Did you also get any documentation authenticating that RGIII signed it?

It's worthless. You may as well just give it away to someone like...me. Yeah. In return for this worthless piece of pigskin, I offer you one, tall, cold glass of orange juice.

I have one of those Detroit Lions mini-helmets signed by Barry Sanders. Some guy I used to work with just gave it to me before I left the firm. I am not sure how he got it, but he was a Ravens fan and said that I should have it, because I'm a Lions fan and would appreciate it more. It was nice of him.

I would avoid ebay unless it had a certificate of authenticity with it. Otherwise, it'll go for less than what you want for it. I've sold autographs I've gotten through an auction or something and it seems they went for less than what others with a certificate did. Maybe a local dealer would give you a better deal? Or sell it on commission?
What price were you wanting to get out of it? I'm down to collecting autographed footballs that I've gotten in person but I know several people that would be interested in it. Shoot me a pm.

She goes every year and brings back like 5 footballs and gives them away. A friend won the Tebow ball a few years ago and sold it for $100. But I doubt since she has multiple balls signed that they have a certificate of authenticity. It would be kind of weird to ask for since it is a staff giveaway probably not meant for profit.
