I smashed the screen on my DroidX2 and it's going to be repaired, but not before a Vegas trip this weekend. So I need a backup replacement. And I was thinking, having a backup cell phone is probably a good idea regardless.
I've been looking around, but I wonder if there's an obvious go-to for this scenario I'm missing. I want a phone that can call, text, light web browsing (just sports scores for Vegas), and ideally a camera of some type just in case I run into something insane that I need to document in some manner.
It looks like I can get a low-end AT&T pay-as-you go phone with these features for $45, plus $15 overnight shipping. They'll charge $2 for any day I text or call (with unlimtied talk and text on those days), and 1¢ per 5 KB of data/web. That seems fine I guess. Is there some other obvious solution?
