I'm in the middle of writing my first research paper for seminary. Here's the first paragraph of the first paged (this is unedited, just rough draft, no edits please, just showing you how consistent I am)
On September 3, 1921, one of the largest civil uprisings in United States history was concluded with the arrest of more than 900 miners for murder or treason, while untold numbers of wounded and dead began to be tended to. The military forces had arrived the previous day to break up the armed conflict, and clean up operations had begun. What was this battle, how did it happen, and what role did the church play in it?

I grew up in Southern WV and know the battle of Blair Mountain fairly well. Denise Giardina, who wrote Storming Heaven, was a family friend, worked at at our church and even baptized me way back in the day. Over the years, I've told people how that was the only time the US has ever dropped bombs on their own citizens...
When you finish your paper, I'd be interested in reading it.

Sure thing. I built a WW game around this, you can find the link here:
WW XCIII - Mine Wars - Battle of Blair Mountain - SYMPATHIZERS WIN!!! - Front Office Football Central (http://www.operationsports.com/fofc/showthread.php?t=72052&highlight=mine+wars)
I'm at page 8, time for the Bull Moose Special....

I have finished WW I and I am now moving to Matewan, where I'll spend a page on it and Sid before I move to section three, on the church.

Yeah, WW is in a big rut. Too many people busy and no influx of any new players (largely due to no new board members).

It's a fun re-read
EDIT: Just finished part two and Matewan. Last part, the church's role

Anyway, the edits are done, and I believe I'm calling it, paper's done, and ready to be turned in. Here's hoping I get a good grade, it's 35% of my grade in the course.
