We've got something for you to work on up here in Cheeseland:

CURVES: Sexegration at the gym (http://www.madison.com/captimes/news/stories/47915.php)

I mentioned this general topic in some of the earlier threads about Ms. Burk, but now the Wisconsin legislature is formally getting involved.

The basic gist is that if the Gov signs this bill, Wisconsin law regarding discrimination in public accomodations will be altered to specifically allow gender-specific fitness clubs. This is the important definition:
The bill defines "fitness center" as "an establishment, whether operated for profit or not for profit, that provides as its 'primary' purpose services or facilities that are purported to assist patrons in physical exercise, in weight control, or in figure development. Fitness center does not include an organization solely offering training or facilities in an individual sport or a weight reduction center.

Basically, some of the representatives that opposed the bill are concerned that this will be interpreted to allow male-only golf clubs, etc., in the state. Build a golf club, add a weight room, and you're golden.

This whole thing is in response to the presence of and lawsuits pertaining to "Curves", a chain of fitness centers for women who don't want to exercise with men.

I wonder if Martha will grace us with her presence now.

Personally, I miss the days when I was a student at Arizona State... the gym there is replete with hotties in butt-floss leotards riding the stair machines...

...I'm going to visit the men's room now and reminisce.

Obviously I've never given you an accurate impression of the women that work in this office.

Golf is physical exercise, therefore golf courses should be included.

There's a curves about a mile from where I live, maybe I should go protest those sexist pigs.

I know it's a stretch, and I happen to dislike golf, but hey, there's walking. Does more than a treadmill.

I walk from my house to the post office, does that make my sidewalk a 'fitness center'? :D

My idea of exercise is a particularly stressful bowel movement following a high-calorie meal.

I could really use the money, so I'd say $2.4 million, plus expenses (200 cc's Viagra, 90 oz. Schlitz Malt Liquor, and full-body decontamination immediately afterwards).
