I was disappointed when I figured out it was a belt and not a strap-on.

I NEED to know if tan jacket and green jacket coordinated the distraction-and-takedown.

And does tan jacket guy think he's Charlie and Eddie Murphy beating up on Rick James on the couch???

I don't think I ever saw the drugged/drunk guy even move, yet the tackle and 10 people jumping on top of him and rolling him every which way was pretty silly. Not that I don't think the idiot deserved it, but the response was really interesting.

Bath salts are a helluva drug.

That's exactly what it looks like. Have a friend who's a firefighter. He's run into a lot of bath salt OD's over the past year or two. Said they have a wild look in their eyes and if the confrontation gets physical, it feels like you're wrestling a person with the strength of a 1,000 lb. bear.

It would have been an interesting experiment to see how long he would have wandered around on the field picking up and throwing stuff if nobody stopped him. I'm going to say about 8 days.

Nice form tackle, then transition to full mount.

Funny how nobody did anything until he touched the Football :)

What's up with the ass in the brown jacket getting a bunch of cheap shots in on drunk guy's legs. It looked like he was just trying to break his legs, not restrain him. He probably beats his kids and kicks his dog.

Why did it take so long for the cop to get out there? Also, why is there only one cop at the game? There are probably at least ten cops at any HS football game I have ever been too.

I am thinking some of those guys came out there just to get cheap shots in. Also, what is up with the blonde who came out there?

I am guessing this is an ex-player for one of the teams that graduated recently.

That was awesome. I love how he doesnt resist at all, then gets beaten on for 2 min. I hope he sues.

I'd kind of like to see claphamsa, GoldenEagle, and Schmidty collectively take that guy down and into custody without incident and without using any force.

i think it was fine to tackle him... the 2 min of pointless beatings is another story.

I love the dude in the blue hoodie who comes charging in after the guy is already on the ground and then digs in there like he's in a scrum for a fumble. What possesses you to do that? Looked to me like things were pretty well under control as soon as they took the guy to the ground.

I was ok with the take-down, but some of the guys (especially brown coat guy) weren't just trying to restrain him - they were trying to cripple him and inflict as much pain as possible. It was a testosterone-filled frenzy.

Also, why is there only one cop at the game?Of all the "wtf" stuff going on in that video, the fact that only one uniformed cop was involved at all struck me as the strangest part. I mean, it's not a HUGE stadium, but there's clearly a decent-sized crowd there.

IDK guys, he is rolling and pushing and all that movement is him on the bottom of the pile. His legs are flailing and and he is fighting like hell. He doesn't look like the innocent non violent resister to me.

I was just wondering why both teams in full pads just didn't jump him?

My first thought on the blonde was that she was a team trainer or something, but that's probably wrong.

That's the thing, the people that would have taken him down and then gentlemanly helped him back up are probably the people that would be standing there watching waiting for someone else to do something. The guys who are going to charge him without knowing anything about how aggressive he'll be, whether he has a weapon in those pants somewhere, etc, are probably by nature going to be more aggressive people, and in this case, they're going to be aggressive people filled with adrenaline.

I'm just saying, it's easy to criticize when you're not in the middle of it. Ya, I'm sure you would have done everything perfectly and with the minimal amount of force and still had a perfect outcome, but geez, cut the guys some slack. I think bath salts guy will live, he probably didn't even feel anything.

We have no idea what was being said by the perp as he squirmed around beneath his tackler so I'm going to side on the side of the tacklers based on the fact that this guy was where he wasn't supposed to be and definitely knows better...under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol or not. Besides, you never know who is carrying what these days so if he got roughed up a little, oh well, don't get wrecked at a football and wander onto the field next time and you won't be sore in the morning.

The lack of police officers is definitely a little suspicious but maybe some of those guys are cops in plain clothes? Maybe there were some other altercations going on at the time?

fuck that asshole, he was on the field where he shouldn't be and if he gets two broken legs, tough shit.

So did that one guy tie his shoe to the other guy or something? He seemed to have an issue near the end of the video.

As for how many police...Colfax isn't a very big town. Maybe 2,000 people live there.

Almost.

As for how many police...Colfax isn't a very big town. Maybe 2,000 people live there.Interesting. From the looks and sounds of the crowd, it appears that there are 500+ people on the home side, possibly over 1,000. I can't tell from the video how far up the middle section goes, but from around 2:25 to the end, it's clear that the lower section is pretty much packed, and back around 2:15-2:25, before the video makes it to the bleachers, there appear to be people sitting in chairs that they brought themselves. Given that Placer is undefeated and only 20ish miles away, I would think that they'd have a decent crowd there as well.

But regardless of exact numbers, this clearly isn't one of those sparsely-attended high school games where you'd be able to get away with only one uniformed cop.
