Something weird is going on with my computer and I don't have a clue what to do. I think something changed during a recent windows update...don't know what else would have happened.

1) I used to be able to open certain sites like FOF, put the first letter of my user name in the login field and my name would pop up automatically. When I clicked on my name, the password field would auto fill and I could log in. Now I have to enter entire user name and password every time.

2) When I finish playing out a game of OOTP baseball and try to exit post game box score screen, windows icon slows down and then gives message that OOTP has quit working and windows is searching for a solution. After a few seconds, I am given option to close. OOTP closes and I'm taken back to desktop.

I think these issues are related since they both seemed to start around the same time. I ran a disk scan and defrag yesterday. I use webroot secureanywhere and it doesn't show anything suspicious. It is a windows 7 laptop and this stuff just started a week or two ago. Any ideas?

These seem to be pretty different problems. What browser are you using? I would double-check to make sure that the options for saved passwords and saved searches/forms is enabled. I don't own OOTP -- does it use a webpage/HTML/browser as part of the code? That would perhaps make the two problems related. Maybe reinstalling your browser may help or at least give you a place to start.

What Wee said.

What browser? I believe the feature is called "autocomplete" Google how to turn it on for your browser.

I use Chrome. To turn it on you rub it & talk in a smooth baritone. Oh, baby...

I've had that problem with OOTP for a while, and I don't know what causes it, but it's not really a big problem. It doesn't affect any of the functionality of the game.

Firefox certainly has gone a bit wonky on my laptop this week. I tried posting things to ebay and it just would not let the form pages work nor let me upload pictures.

You're not having the same problem because OOTP closes and the just completed game isn't saved.

After doing a few hours of research, it seems that it is a problem with Windows 7 having a glitch that doesn't give proper permissions. I looked back at my update history and found that updates hadn't been installing. I had to try several different proposed solutions but finally got the updates to install...will try OOTP and see if things are better there.
