My bad, I'll just post twice and edit the second post from now on. I didn't even consider how that could be seen as questionable.

I broke my rule about not picking Giants games unless I had to. So I guess I deserved that...

On most weeks I don't enter the scores into my spreadsheet until Tuesday or Wednesday so there is no way to know if somebody changed their predictions.

Do I think you are doing that, no.

53/63, pending MNF and the ramifications of the tie.

This has never been an issue before so it's not in the rules.

I'm going to say it should be a +10 since a pick for the Niners or Rams were both wrong in this case.

Why not make it a +5 since picking one or the other is technically only half wrong?

Technically? My argument would be that you picked a team to win, and they didn't win.

I'm also technically an interested party, since the people ahead of me picked the game and I didn't :)

Wait just a minute. There's no point bonus for picking the right winner, only a penalty for picking the loser. Since nobody loses in a tie, no penalty should be assessed. (And of course I picked the damn game.)

Sabotai assessed a 10 point penalty for the 2008 tie between Philadelphia and Cincinnati. See the following threads:
Sab's NFL Pick'Em Game 2008: Week 11 - Front Office Football Central (http://www.operationsports.com/fofc/showthread.php?t=68980) (predictions)
and

I say we stick with precedence.

The penalty is for picking the incorrect winner. Since you picked XXX to win, you were wrong - they did not win.

britrock88

What would the penalty be for picking no winner, i.e., a tie?

RendeR

I'd say if you actually picked a game to end in a tie and it DOES you get a -100 point bonus.

It's like betting on green in roulette.

If you are wrong, you are wrong.
