Interesting results. I have a friend who is a Universal Unitarian youth pastor, and he's nuttier than a fucking fruitcake, for whatever that's worth. While I apparently identify with the UU ethos (or lack thereof) as well, in reality it confuses the hell out of me. I completely understand and identify with the belief that each person is free to pursue their own faith and belief....but then I get confused by the fact that they still have services of worship together, and sermons, prayer and hymns, which seems almost counter-intuitive to me.

I think my perception is just heavily shaded by this particular dude, who has always been the kind of ornery doofus of my group of friends, and then suddenly, pretty much out of nowhere he's a UU, and a few years later he's essentially second in command at his church. Whenever I see him, and I've known him for most of his life, he's pretty much always the target of everybody's jokes, and a willfully ignorant goofball, and it's odd to think that for hundreds of other folks he's some sort of elder, and is giving spiritual advice to all of their kids.

100% Secular Humanism as expected. I'm personally of the belief that faith and belief in spiritual things clouds judgement and artificially augments behavior. I believe what I can see and constantly try to find reason and cause for it all, but I also accept that I can't see everything or trust everything I see. Although I take nothing for granted and don't allow spiritual belief or faith to guide my decisions, I understand that my perpetual lack of knowledge of all things will always render me without authority to say what is wrong or right. I do try to live ethically by treating everyone with the same respect I would want in return until their actions prove them unworthy of that. At the same time, I understand everyone has flaws and I don't hate them for it, though I do wish it was possible for everyone to feel the way I do.

Fun results. I am a Mainline Liberal Protestant, but one who believes in miracles and the literal resurrection of Christ (as well as the Virgin Birth), but also is fairly pacifist (must be where the Quaker came from).

No real surprise here. I slip into agnosticism a lot so I always have trouble deciding what to put for the god(s) and afterlife questions. But on days when I'm not having existential crises relating to religion, Neo-pagan is spot-on (although I personally don't believe in reincarnation so it's a bit amusing to see so many of those religions with such a high %)

I'm curious why #1 finished higher than #2 or #3; I suspect it may have been a matter of interpreting the intent/meaning of a question/answer. But after the top 5, it's pretty much meaningless after that.

Great ... I'm a secular humanist. The downside is that this fact makes me want to punch myself. The upside is that my belief system will not punish me for doing so.

Second choice is Unitarian Universalism. Unitarianism is the Taco Bell of religions. Seems like everybody should like it, and every once in a while it seems like a good idea, but afterward you feel like crap and can't try it again for six months.

Not as far off, structurally anyway (I'm sure there's a better word but it's late), as you'd think at first blush. I figured that out a number of years back.
