FOFC Bowl Pick 'em

Basic Rules. Pick the games, including score. Each game is worth a certain amount of points. Correctly pick the winning team for that game and you'll get that amount of points. The tie breaker will be the amount of points which you miss your score prediction by (total for all games).

In addition. Each player may elect to specify 3 games which they are the MOST confident with and want to "double up" on. For those games, if you correctly pick the winning team you will get double the points for that game. There is a risk as if you pick incorrectly you will lose the amount of points that game was worth. Example: Normal game worth 3 points if you are correct you get 3 points and if you are wrong you get 0 points. If you double that game up you would get 6 points if correct but lose 3 points if you are wrong.

For selecting the scoring I used the BCS standings to help slot the games.

All games without a team in the BCS top 25 = 1 point
All games with only 1 team in the BCS top 25 = 2 points
(the remainder will be for games with both teams in the BCS top 25)
All games with only no team rated 20th or better = 3 points
All games with only 1 team rated 20th or better = 4 points
All games with both teams rated between 11-20 = 5 points
All games with only 1 team in the top 10 = 6 points
All games with both teams in the top 10 but no team in the top 5 = 7 points
All games with both teams in the top 10 but only 1 team in the top 5 = 8 points
All games with both teams in the top 5 = 9 points
Bonus point for the BCS championship game = 1 point

The next post will be the breakdown of the games (I have no idea how they will fall yet based on the above breakdown).

There will be a prize to the winner, Steam related, but I am still trying to figure out what it may be.
