Evidently Amazing Spider-Man writer Dan Slott is getting death threats over the ending of the last issue of Amazing Spider-Man:

What happens in the comic to make one want to kill someone over it? Is Spiderman gay or something?

I think if you counted up all the death threats on the Internet and social media you'd find there's some for just about anything. I see loonies going over the edge about much stupider stuff than this.

Peter Parker gets his mind switched with a dying Doc Ock. Parker (in Doc Ock's body), fights Spider-Man(with Doc Ock's mind), and Spider-Man wins. As Doc Ock (with Parker's mind) lies dying, he transferrs his memories, so Doctor Octopus learns all the stuff Parker went through. Doctor Octopus promises to carry on as a hero, and Parker sees his Uncle, and dies.
This leads to the new Spider-Man series starting in January called "Superior Spider-Man, which is about Doctor Octopus carrying on (in Parker's body) being Spider-Man.

The story line? Or that someone would threaten the writer's life?
