Found my copy of it while rooting through some storage boxes looking for a charge cable for my 2nd 360 controller and I'm intrigued.

Open your window and look outside. Get back to me if you see anyone running 8 year old software on a modern computer. Welcome to Hollywood.

Well played.

And I didn't really expect it to, but I was intrigued when I found it in a dusty box.

Got an email today about Hollywood Mogul 4 kickstarter

Hollywood Mogul 4 - Run Your Own Hollywood Movie Studio by HMdesigner — Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/664775277/hollywood-mogul-4-run-your-own-hollywood-movie-stu)

It actually has me tempted...

I like the "Friends with Franchises" thing there. That's almost meta-social as a reward structure. Interesting.

Expansion packs?

After reading that entire kickstarter I'm still not sure what is new about the game. He mentions adding pictures(in about three different places), bringing back an old feature, and selling expansion packs. He also mentions other people doing alot of modding work directly in his kickstarter. That's interesting.

The core game probably isn't that new, but the showrunner expansion could be neat.

...As much as hot mess as 3 was, I actually kinda want to kickstart this maybe.

I'll be curious to see how close this gets to the 120k goal. Clearly I've been making the wrong games lol.

Off topic FYI, the most recent FBCB is a game that I've been tempted to buy the past couple of basketball seasons, but with all the good games one gets cheap elsewhere it can be hard to justify 35 on an older game. But not having even bought that one, I would pump out 35 in a kickstarter for an upcoming new version.

$50 neat?

A $40 pledge gets you the game plus both expansions.

Seems like a really ambitious goal, needs around 100 pledges to reach funding levels. Going to have to pick it up.

It's pretty amazing, though, that you can create a niche product like this and make a solid amount of money off of 2500-3000 purchases and most likely operate almost alone.

You're not a douchebag, so instantly I'd be inclined to fund your project.

I think you might be off by a couple orders of magnitude. Most of the pledges are coming in in the $40-60 range. To raise $120,000 on $60 pledges, you'd need, what, 2000 backers?

I posted in the other thread, but no chance this gets anywhere near its funding goal.
