One of the MP universe's longest-running and most stable leagues has an opening, and we are asking for applications. Current GMs make the selection and always tend to favor demonstrated participation and commitment, but new players will be given equal consideration as well.

If you're not familiar with us, it's likely because we rarely have openings and when we do, there are often guys in waiting. In my humble opinion, this is a testament to the league's consistency, its collection of active and competitive GMs, and an atmosphere of respect and community.

About Us

The NAFL, a converted 2k7 league, has been around for over 8 years in real time and is about to begin the 2030 offseason. More than half of our GMs have been with us for 10 seasons or more, and believe it or not, we even have a few original GMs, including the league Commissioner, Co-Commissioner and Co-Founder.

The NAFL is a real NFL teams league that began with a real player file in 2004. All of those players have since retired, of course, but they form our history. During the regular season, we sim on a consistent twice a week schedule with interim files released before all sims. Learn more about us and read our rules on NAFLsim.com (http://www.naflsim.com/rulesindex.php).

The Available Team

We unfortunately must bid farewell to a GM that had been with us for all but 3 seasons of the NAFL's existence. Like a 1-owner used car, the Washington Redskins are in great shape and currently possess the league's 3rd best roster, according to the in-game ratings. They are blessed with a 4-time Pro-Bowler and former Defensive Player of the Year at DE, the league's 3rd highest rated QB, a former 2nd overall pick at RB in his 6th year and a bevy of talent on the offensive line.

So where's the challenge? Well, the Redskins play in one of the NAFL's most competitive divisions, almost every season a 3-way battle with the Cowboys and Eagles, both of which are among the top 7 winningest franchises in NAFL history.

Oh, and with all of that roster talent comes some difficult financial decisions. The Redskins have under 300k of cap room and must make a choice on who to franchise this offseason: a young pass-rusher, a stout young guard or perhaps the long-tenured veteran tight end. Are you up to the task of taking over a team that has made the postseason in 7 of the last 9 years but is left wanting for that Super Bowl appearance?

What We're Looking For

Whether you're a beginning FOF player or a grizzled vet, the NAFL is simply looking for someone that is not only dedicated to his team but also to the league as a whole. We have quite a community of GMs, and we want someone who is willing to join that community. In other words, we put a premium on participation, whether it be in team write-ups or just being an active presence on the forum in discussions, polls, etc.

Though we have a waiting list, it's not a "first in line" kind of selection. We are very fortunate to have established a league in which we can be selective when openings occur. As noted above, we're looking for a history of dedication, reliability and participation or a firm commitment from a newbie to build that kind of history in the NAFL. We want someone who is in it for the long haul.

If interested, either post in the waiting list of our forum at

North American Football League • Index page (http://www.naflsim.com/board)

or you can e-mail me at [email protected]

Most of us here have been in a few of the leagues that are around, even some that are no longer around. There are solid leagues and then there are the few that have set themselves apart from the rest....... the NAFL is in that class. What sets it apart? The GM's are solid and bring a spirit and sense of competition to the league while bantering and joking creating an enjoyable atmosphere........ but that's not it. The NAFL is what it is because of Adam (Cuckoo), the commish. His passion keeps the foundation strong.

So stop in, say hello, stay for awhile and get a sense of what it's all about. Promise you, once you do you will want to stay.

Now that's an endorsement.

I agree with everything you said. You forgot to say that Cuckoo is in fact a robot. The sims are at 5pm, if it's not done at 5:05, he's dead, plain and simple.

Great league, good group of GMs. You won't regret joining.

My thanks to all of those that expressed interest. We have made a selection for the Redskins opening, but all others are certainly invited to register for the forum, sign up on the Waiting List for a future opening, and join the community. It's a welcoming group of guys.
