Why beef is losing its flavor- MSN Money (http://money.msn.com/now/post.aspx?post=9d72a9ef-a970-4f39-b4c3-63af5d82c2e4&sharedfrom=scptmy)

I'm sure it doesn't cause cancer or anything like that.

Crazy. I still wish I got beef from my grandmother's farm.

Interesting. I always say if you want a high quality steak, go to your local butcher or to a farmer. Some people swear by grass-fed but I don't think it gets much better than a good corn-fed Jersey steak.

As for Zilmax itself, I don't know enough to comment on it. Though these days, the hysterical people tend to say that if you're feeding your cattle anything but grass you are poisoning the cow and the people that eat them.

Shouldn't this be called "Why Everything doesn't taste as good as it used to"

Totally agree. I actually think the grass feds have LESS flavor than good old corn-fed beef.

I don't have a ton of experience eating grass-fed but it seems like it's more gamey like venison. Which is fine. Might be a flavor preference. I like venison, but when I want to eat venison I pull a package of venison steaks out of the freezer. I know some people don't have that luxury. When I want a nice juicy steak, I go to the local butcher that raises his own corn-fed steers in a feedlot. It's all local, fresh, and damn good despite being raised in a feedlot.

Can I take Zilmax to shed extra fat and gain muscle mass? Or do I have to wait for the last few weeks of my life?
