I'll be there for work starting midday Monday with most of my free time coming Monday after I check-in, most of the day Tuesday and evenings after 5 or 6 PM.

FOFC - what do you recommend as must do's for site seeing and food?

Unfortunately the Cubs are out of down as Wrigley is still on my bucket list.

Normally I recommend Joe's Stone Crab but I think stone crabs are out of season. Still worth a trip as the rest of their food is great and their key lime pie is the best thing in the world.

What's your "thing" as far as food? Chicago has great restaurants.

Navy Pier is fun...you could always take one of the Duck Tours...I did that one time just to be a "tourist."

Shaw's Crab House is another spiffy place. Ollld restaraunt, good oysters, nice place to hit for lunch & have a few drinks.

The museum scene in Chicago is one of the best in the world. The Field Museum, Science and Industry, Shedd Aquarium, and the Art Institute of Chicago are all very good. There's lot of Frank Lloyd Wright stuff if you like architecture and then there's whatever the Sears Tower is called these days- I think it's excellent to go there or John Hancock, particularly at night.

For pizza, I actually prefer Lou Malnati's to Gino's East but both are great if you like Chicago deep dish. Just don't do something stupid like get their thin crust. If you don't like deep dish, just don't do it.

For deep dish, I always go to Giordano's. For thin, I love Nancy's pizza.

We always would go to Maggiano's but there is one here in St. Louis now.

Went to Chicago last year. Really liked The Field Museum and the Adler Planetarium. I thought the Shedd Aquarium was not very good. The wait in line was also brutal so if you do want to go to the aquarium, get a city pass. I didn't find long lines anywhere else.

If you like Italian food, take the time to go to Little Italy. I can't remember the name of the place (sorry), but I had some awesome fettucini alfredo there. A good amount of little restaurants there.

If you're vegan (or with a vegan), I went to a place called The Chicago Diner that I liked, even though I'm not vegan. I think it's near Wrigley, though (so if there's no games there, probably not be worth the trip)

Harry Caray's steakhouse = overpriced and overrated.

I have never been able to see everything I wanted to in any of my trips to the Museum of Science and Industry. Awesome place.

*checks* Nope. But, thanks to Google street view, I found it. Took awhile to retrace my steps from the train station. RoSal's was the place.

One of my best friends just visited Chicago. He was able to take a tour of Wrigley that included many of the normally inaccessible areas (dugouts, press box, etc) for something like $60 per person - and you don't need to have the team in town to do that. He highly recommended it.

If you go to Little Italy, be careful. I'd recommend Greektown and Chinatown as safer and more fun options. Or Devon (Little India/Pakistan), but that's farther from the loop.
