Heading out in a few minutes to fly to Detroit for an interview with U of M on Monday, hope everything is okay. Only a little nervous after the crash earlier this week, but still have little collywobbles.

Hey, I would have been more nervous if there hadn't been one. Odds are now that it'll be at least a year before the next one.
That was tongue in cheek.
Seriously, it's nothing to be scared about. Here is a stat from my training a couple weeks ago.
99.99% safe in my job means a crash every 4 days.
That's where we are in aviation right now.

I'd be more scared driving to the airport, personally. The US carriers have a fantastic safety record.

I've flown five times in the past seven days. These guys know what they're doing by and large.

I heard somewhere that you have a better chance of being struck by lighting while driving to the airport then being in a plane crash.

That's good to hear with my flight to Orlando tomorrow.
