Hello everybody, it's past 5pm eastern and this means Canadian teams have taken the field, some short 2 hours of their US counterparts...

The Pintendre Pittbulls, playing yet another bot team, will try to bring the record to 5-0 and get closer to promoting back to division IV...

Not much action has happened so far, but the Pittbulls had the first scoring chance, after only 8 minutes...

Pintendre had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially in the 8:th minute when Radu Jurcã came up alone against John O'Higgins who managed a block.

More as it happens...

Update.......
playing our new passable keeper youth pull from last week after having sold off our solid Swedish keeper in favour of the young Canadian, Les Joujoux managed to come back and earn a 3-3 tie after being down 0-3 at 29 mins. Goaltender Peter Mcneal earned 2-1/2 * in his league debut.

When you start mIRC you are given the options of selecting which server and what screen name, etc. That is where you choose one of the undernet servers.

Open mIRC
go to File-> options
select under the list of servers "Random US Undernet Server"

I cant get onto the chat tonight. However for anyone who wants to watch a good game I should have one for you. Im the number 3 team in my league going up against the 2nd team. Here is the beginning of the match...

Wildcats - Toledo Drunkards

Date: 5/5/2003 at 01:00
MatchID: 5542106
Arena: Wildcats Arena

The match is in progress, 17 minutes of the first half have been played.
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Wildcats Arena saw a crowd turnout of 10950. Wildcats had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Currier - Rikardsson, Thrasher, Uribe - Cardin, Kuhn, Palareti, Myers, Patterson - Lawton, Boone.

Drunkards had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Oleary - Matson, Clarke, Henriksson - Moghaddam, Dyrhult, Bojin, Suchy, Schell - Heiramo, Larsson.

Wildcatss Ossie Uribe gave, after 4 minutes, the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. Wildcatss Erik Kuhn got himself booked after a foul. Visitors Sami Heiramo was alert on a play coming in from the left, making the score a tie at 1 - 1 in the 16:th minute

I will probably be leaving by the half but hopefully my team can pull this one out.

Well, the team I play this week got replaced yesterday by a new owner, and in a random ass turn of events, it's someone who I don't know, but lives here in Isla Vista with me, about a block away from here (confirmed by HT E-mail). I referred him to the boards here for some help, as I want my series to be good competition. We're in a California Derby right now, and his defense is surprisingly strong, as I haven't scored yet.

Team ID 70384 for those of you on Criollo Viewer who are looking for another game.

Damn my best player went down with an injury. :(

He is playing wingback and was replaced with my sub defender. The sub is a passable defender but a poor winger. Will that end up hurting me? I would much rather they replaced him with my sub winger.

[edit- The game is tied 2-2 at half and I had possession for 49% of the half. My team ID is 8295 and the match ID is listed above if anyone wants to check it out.]

Bah, gave up a goal in the 44th. And I screwed up and started the wrong keeper. Not a huge dropoff, but an irritating mistake. Add to that our sterling 26% possession, and you've got a loooong game.

Up 2-0 w/52% possession at halftime on the remains of the team a cheater assembled (kicked out 2 weeks ago) who is ahead of me on goal differential. In more good news, 3 dead teams were replaced meaning there might be some actual competition in my series soon.

The world is eerily silent, as starting wingback and part-time pizza deliveryman, "Crazy" Earl Freedom was helped off the pitch with a leg injury.

In other news, Søren Andersen scored in the 49th to give MMFC a 1-0 lead... and we had 65% possession at halftime.

Ishudhi Kumar almost managed to score another goal for Louisiana, but his header was tipped to a corner by the visitors goalie. A bit later, a magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Louisiana´s Ovidiu Preoteasa putting the lead up to 4 - 0.

G-Vegas FC - Mundial FC

Date: 5/5/2003 at 01:00
MatchID: 5547760
Arena: G-Vegas FC Arena

The match is in progress, 38 minutes of the second half have been played.
Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 10000 at G-Vegas FC Arena today. G-Vegas started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Fernández - James, Carrasco, Viau - Maestro, Ahlgård, Orfila, Uribe, Bonilla Mangas - Faure, Freijedo.

Mundial had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Hardin - Barclay, Nichols, Gabriel - Dorman, Scales, Ferguson, Pinson, Mccall - Shaw, Williams.

Francois Faure gave his G-Vegas the lead with 1 - 0, as he successfully challenged both the guests central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the goaltenders right post. In the 17:th minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Ludovico Bonilla Mangas dashed through, knocking home 2 - 0 for G-Vegas. One of many good passes from Fernando Maestro at the wing was recieved and skillfully taken care of by Francois Faure, scoring for G-Vegas to 3 - 0. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Ludovico Bonilla Mangas squirmed himself through the central defense line in the 27:th minute, asserting the lead to 4 - 0. The structure of the game started to change as G-Vegas decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. John James increased G-Vegass lead to 5 - 0 by putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right. Delmer Pinson of Mundial received a yellow card in the 34:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Mundial´s Nate Dorman left the field after 38 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Porter Burney. The teams went for a half-time break at 5 - 0. G-Vegas held the ball, with a clear 71 percent possession rate.

In the 52nd minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Leoncio Freijedo dashed through, knocking home 6 - 0 for G-Vegas. G-Vegas put themselves up 7 - 0 when Leoncio Freijedo broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. After 65 minutes Leoncio Freijedo put G-Vegas ahead 8 - 0 as he rose to head in a hooked ball, the result of an effort from the right side. By then Leoncio Freijedo was a three time scorer - a hat trick! The home sides Ludovico Bonilla Mangas twisted a free kick home in the 67:th minute, putting G-Vegas ahead 9 - 0. By then Ludovico Bonilla Mangas was a three time scorer - a hat trick! A couple of quick and successful challenges, followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area after 74 minutes might have resulted in another goal for G-Vegas. However, Marc Hardin made a spectacular save.
