Alright guys, I'm going to try this again. I know I have had a lot of failed attempts at this so I hope you guys sign up. I'm gonna do my very best to stick with this one as long as possible. I may not be able to post on this every day as I also have my WIS basketball tournament dynasty going, but with this and cmp's TCY/FOF interactive dynasty, you get the best of both worlds with football and basketball. The sign-ups begin now. I probably won't be able to start this until Monday or Tuesday of next week as I have a busy weekend planned, so that gives everybody the weekend to get signed up.

I will take 6 for season 1 and 6 for season 2 to start with.

Here is the signup sheet:

Name:
Position:
Location: can be specific state, region, national, or foreign
Maximum Star Ranking:
Minimum Star Ranking:

I put the maximum and minimum star ratings in there because some of you will want to play for as high profile school as possible, while others will be happy just playing for a small conference team. Hopefully we can mix and match and not all be top recruits. :)

I'll throw in the first recruit:

Name: Shannon Elliott
Position: PF
Location: Washington
Maximum Star Ranking: 5 stars
Minimum Star Ranking: 3 stars

Eventually I will create a recruit that can only be a 1 or 2 star recruit, but for now I want to see what I can do at a mid-major to high level.

Alright guys, I got enough recruits to get the ball rolling on this. The one house rule I've made is that nobody can go pro until after their junior year. This will force our recruits to stick it out in college for at least 3 years. I don't have the new Fast Break Pro Basketball game downloaded yet, but I'm sure I will as we get to the point where it's time for our first batch of recruits to declare after their junior or senior years.

That being said, lets take a look at that first class of recruits. Season 1 will have 6 recruits, and their player cards are listed in order of national recruit rank.

Oops, I forgot to change the starting year to 2013. Rather than going back and starting over with a 2013 start date, we'll just leave it as is and start in 2011. Not a major difference really. Sorry bout that guys.

August 2011

PG Rob Nielsen- The shape of Rob's top 5 has changed. USC is now at the top, followed by Arizona, then UCLA. San Diego State and Utah are new schools to his top 5. USC, Arizona, and San Diego State have offered.

PG Will Brown- Kansas is still the favorite for Will, but they have yet to offer. The rest of the top 5 are different, as Memphis, Ohio St., Arkansas, and Notre Dame are in. Arkansas and Memphis are the only ones to offer thus far.

SG Cannon Pace- Cannon's top 5 now looks like this: Notre Dame, Purdue, Syracuse, Ohio State, and West Virginia. He has no offers yet.

C Jawouk Bafou- Looks like Jawouk may have an interest in playing on the West Coast, as Oregon and Gonzaga are the only schools he is looking at this month, but neither have offered.

C Jace Hunter- We're told there was an issue with Jace over the past month, as he didn't list a top 5, nor would he even say who was interested in him. Looking to have that sorted out next month.

PF Shannon Elliott- While Shannon would love to play at Gonzaga, he is not being heavily recruited by the big schools. Idaho, Portland, Eastern Washington, and Montana are the other schools showing interest.

September 2011

PG Rob Nielsen- Rob has narrowed it down to USC and Arizona. Both have offered, but when I talked to Rob earlier, he said he hasn't ruled out the possibility of being interested in other schools.

PG Will Brown- Kansas remains the favorite, but Memphis and Ohio State are still in the mix. Kansas and Memphis have offered.

SG Cannon Pace- Cannon keeps shaking things up, as Xavier has now entered the mix behind Notre Dame and Purdue. Ohio State and Syracuse are still in the hunt. Notre Dame and Purdue have offered, as well as Xavier.

C Jawouk Bafou- No offers yet for Jawouk, although Michigan State has shown a major interest. They are still behind Oregon and Gonzaga however.

C Jace Hunter- Not sure what is going on with Jace, but he still isn't releasing any information. Hoping this isn't a bug in the game.

PF Shannon Elliott- The only change in Shannons top 5 is Gonzaga has slipped all the way to the bottom of the interested schools. Idaho, Portland, and Montana have offered. Ick!

October 2011

PG Rob Nielsen- No change, looks like Rob is definitely going to the Pac 12, the question is will it be USC or Arizona?

PG Will Brown- While he can't sign yet, we understand Will has made an oral commitment to the University of Kansas. Keep in mind, he is not locked in to play for the Jayhawks, he can still sign with another school, but my bet is Will is a lock for Kansas.

SG Cannon Pace- Notre Dame appears to be the choice for Cannon, who admitted that he has always come from a very strict catholic background. Again, this is just an oral commitment, and it could change.

C Jawouk Bafou- Jawouk is still waiting for a scholarship offer, but other schools have jumped in the mix. Oregon and Gonzaga are at the top still, but Baylor and North Carolina have joined the hunt, while Michigan State is still hanging around.

C Jace Hunter- Jace certainly is a secretive fellow, either that or he isn't adapted to the English language quite yet. The only thing I could get out of him this month when I asked him about his interest in schools was a sharp "Michigan State."

PF Shannon Elliott- Shannon is still keeping Gonzaga on his list, hoping for an offer, but things aren't looking good. Idaho is the front runner and they have offered. All the other schools have decided to look elsewhere.

November 2011

PG Rob Nielsen- USC won the recruiting battle, as with November being the first month that recruits can sign an LOI, Mr. Nielsen did just that. He will be a USC Trojan!

PG Will Brown- To the shock of absolutely nobody, Will committed to Kansas, signing his LOI with a quickness.

SG Cannon Pace- Cincinnati made a late run, but Cannon and his strong catholic beliefs made it official.. He will get to spend a lot of time with Touchdown Jesus at Notre Dame, as he signed his LOI. (ok, I know touchdown Jesus is more for football, but I couldn't resist throwing it in there.)

C Jawouk Bafou- Michigan State and Oregon have finally offered scholarships to Jawouk, but Gonzaga, Baylor, and UCLA are still in the mix, as Jawouk becomes our first recruit NOT to sign an LOI in November.

C Jace Hunter- Last word I got out of Jace was "Michigan State," but since they have offered a scholarship to Jawouk and since Jace and Jawouk play the same position, I figure the Spartans are out for Jace. Not necessarily. While they haven't offered a schollie yet, Michigan State appears to still be the front runner, but several teams are now in the mix, including UTEP, Detroit, North Carolina, and Valparaiso.

PF Shannon Elliott- Nothing has changed for Shannon. He is still waiting on a scholarship offer from Gonzaga, and in the meantime he is making Idaho sweat it out.. if you want to call it that.

December 2011

C Jawouk Bafou- Jawouk hasn't committed yet, but he has all but told Michigan St. he will sign with them to start the new year.

C Jace Hunter- No offers for Jace yet, and Michigan State has moved down the list. Florida and Temple head up the list now, with the Spartans third, then N.C. State and Vanderbilt.

PF Shannon Elliott- It finally happened.. Shannon gave up the possibility of going to Gonzaga, instead begrudgingly signing an LOI with Idaho. Don't rule out the possibility of a transfer for this young man, as signing with Idaho seems more by default than by choice.

Boy am I having a bad night! I just realized that I was posting season 1 in the FBCB sign-up thread! Dope! My mistake guys. Season 2 will have its own thread, at this point I'm not going to put Season 1 into its own thread, too much work and I'm already tired. I wish Jawouk and Jace would hurry up and sign somewhere! lol

January 2012

C Jawouk Bafou- Jawouk makes it official, signing with Michigan State.

C Jace Hunter- With the signing of Jawouk, Jace has officially dropped Michigan State from his list of schools. Pittsburgh, Duke, Villanova, Valparaiso, and Texas are in the mix, even though none have offered.

I am going to stop here for the night, simply because I am too tired to keep going. I probably won't make it on tomorrow to post as I have an extremely busy day. My plans for Monday are to finish season 1 and see where Jace Hunter ends up going, and at the very least get the recruiting going for season 2.

no problem law, I'll get you in for season 2, you'll make the 6th recruit from season 2 which I am about to begin working on. Coffee, yes I realize that. The question is, how will the Golden Arm make the transition to basketball?

Also, sorry guys for posting season 1 in the FBCB sign-up thread. I was extremely tired when I started to work on it Saturday night, and it didn't dawn on me until after the fact. Season 2 and the rest of the seasons from now on will have their own thread as to not make it so confusing.

February 2012

C Jace Hunter- While Jace has yet to make a decision, he is at least getting scholarship offers now. UTEP and Florida State have offered. Marquette, North Carolina, and Michigan State are in the mix as well.

March 2012

C Jace Hunter- Finally, Jace has made a commitment. Playing at Florida State was just too good to pass up. So all of our 6 recruits have signed and now we can move to season 2.
