I thought I had seen a good recipe here on FOFC for preparing a juicy turkey starting from the brining process to properly cooking it in the oven (breast down for the first hour or so, then turning it over, etc). I used this recipe last year and it worked out really well.
But I can't seem to find that recipe here in my searches. Now I'm wondering if I really did find it here or did an independent Google search.
Anyways, if anyone has a good one, please share it here.

just smoked a turkey last week and we used this simple brine. It was out of this world and works in the oven as well.

Either one of the Alton Brown versions. Wet brine and the updated dry brine where you spatchcock the Turkey. I love the spatchcocking.

I do a real simple brine. cup of salt lemon zest, ton of peper half cup brown sugar cover turkey in water, add a ton of ice and wait 12 hours. takes 6 hours in the smoker, 4 ish in the oven (I do 3)

I remembered where I got that recipe last year. It was Matt "Money" Smith's from Petros and Money show on Fox Sports Radio. Google-fu searches fail to find it online, though.
Fortunately Money will give out his recipe (he does it every year) over the air, I believe he will give it out some time this Wednesday. I'll try to remember to listen in for it.

Trust me, once you do this you will never do it another way.

I skip the panzanella, but I might do it one of these years.

Brined is delicious. Unfortunately my dad is all sensitive to his salt intake so he won't let us brine it.
