Well, #25 Notre Dame beat #3 Arizona State... :p

Serious response: the 6-point MOV is not going to damage Alabama's average MOV (half of the SRS) by more than a couple points. Each team is good enough that there wouldn't be any crazy effect on their SOS (the other half). One thing I really like about formula-based rankings is that a narrow decision late in the season doesn't lead to knee-jerk reassessments of the involved teams' entire seasons. Bama losing a tight one to a Top 10 team isn't terribly out of character; Auburn winning a tight one against a top-ranked team doesn't wash away some tight contests and a poor OOC SOS.
