This is new. Compound Leg Fracture in 2014. Fully healed at begin 2015, but with a "Watch Closely" label. Preseason major drop possibility?

Dammit you scared me. Thought you were reporting a bug because you wrote injury in 2015 but fully healed in 2014.

Does it say anything about that in the help file? At work so can't check.

And yes, it's in the Help File.If a player is "Recovering" from a serious injury, you need to watch him closely after training camp because further scouting after the second week of exhibition season (even if your team does not have a game) might reveal a significant loss in ability.

Oh man the websites that can be built with the .csv data is going to be amazing. That label could help to identify comeback players of the year.

Well, that will add a new layer to offseason decisions the season following a severe injury to an important player.

Well, that will add a new layer to offseason decisions the season following a severe injury to an important player. That injury is from a team I'm chronicling in a dynasty thread. It most definitely shaped several offseason decisions, especially since Jackson is my highest-paid player. If the injury results had already been revealed, I would known immediately whether to cut him or cap him out. Instead, I did neither, so his big salary kept me from making some moves. And I spent a 2nd round pick on a WR that I probably wouldn't have drafted otherwise.

Why do you think Phi cut him in the 1st place?

Along with this, how are people feeling about the injury frequency and types? Do we think the default injury setting needs tweaked at all? In prior versions, was there a recommended setting for this?

Why do you think Phi cut him in the 1st place? The roster management AI appears significantly improved in that it will now cut bait on guys who are making too much rather than cap itself out into salary cap hell. Jackson's default contract calls for him to make $10.5M in 2014-roughly 8.5% of the salary cap.

In prior versions, was there a recommended setting for this? That's a personal preference thing. Here's what the Help File says:The Injury Setting determines the frequency of injuries in the game. A value of 0 turns off injuries. A value of 100 is the default setting, but the setting can be set as high as 400. For greatest accuracy, a value of over 200 is suggested. This setting applies to both single- and multi-player games where you are the commissioner. Many people don't enjoy the "greatest accuracy."

Wow...I did not know it could go that high....thought with a 100 I already saw a ton of injuries:) Can't imagine what 200-400 would do, unless they are less severe and just nagging injuries, then I can see it.

I'm one who likes that accuracy. It's no fun when every starter makes it through a whole season. I'd never set it at 400 but there's something fun about needing to start that rookie guard whom you drafted for development purposes for half the season.

I'm the opposite.. I'd much rather see star players get a chance to play more. :)

Well, I have just a little experience with FOF but play OOTP like crazy, and I'm all for realistic (higher than pleasant) injuries.
It's not that I enjoy having to play some scrub cornerback. Rather, it changes the odds on everything: How risky is a long term, high bonus contract? How much money and effort should I put into reserves? How much can I load up my bench with guys who really can't play this year (great leaders, future hopes, etc.) How quickly should I pull starters when games aren't close?
In my opinion, if you want a sports management sim to be realistic, you have to take your full dose of injuries,

I am all for realistic as long as the injury types are realistic too....meaning, a lot of injuries are the type people play with and hope they are not all long term and season ending.
So which setting is the best for this then, 200 or something higher than that?

I've only played part of a season but 250 gave me some IR injuries, some multi-game injuries, and some "suck it up and play with it" injuries, so that's fine with me.
