Unable to Start New Game [Archive] - Front Office Football Central

I can't seem to find anyone else with this issue. I start up FOF 7, I choose New Game. And then the OK button is in red, unable to be hit. I have tried every combination of setting I could but nothing happens. The OK button is never able to be selected.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

Need 8-character savegame name and then button is active.
