I mod-chipped my original Xbox and it makes for a great MAME system, as well as the old Xbox games.

Does my 360 count if it's broken?

Damn, I forgot to check the dreamcast too...

I have a fully modded XBOX, a 360 and a Wii currently. I sold the PS2 to get the 360.

The last console I've ever owned is still the Sega Genesis. Sometimes I feel like I should just randomly jump back in with a PS4 or something. I'm sure my mind would be blown. I feel like it would all be a tad time- and money-consuming though.

I have set up the new game room and the NES, SNES, N64, Genesis (with power base converter to play SMS systems and 32X to play 32X systems hooked up- tho you can only have one in at a time), Dreamcast, Gamecube with Game Boy Adapter (otherwise, I'd only need the Wii since it's backwards compatible), PS2, and Wii all hooked up in the game room and the (CECHA01 backwards compatible) PS3 in the living room as the BluRay player. I have an Atari 7800 but it's always been of questionable functionality and I haven't messed with getting it set up yet.

Every once in a while, my dad hooks up the old Atari 2600 and Odyssey˛ systems that he still has sitting around.

I don't have a PS4 (yet) or an Xbox One (who the hell knows), but I have PS2 (on long-term loan to my cousin), a backwards-compatible PS3, Xbox and 360, all of the Nintendo and Sega consoles released domestically, most of the Nintendo handhelds, and Game Gear/Nomad from Sega.

Don't have anything from Atari, mostly because I'm not even sure I can successfully hook one of those up to the TV I have now, and I don't have any of the other competitors (Neo*Geo, 3DO, etc) because there aren't enough games I'd play on them to justify the cost of acquisition.

EDIT: Oh, right, the Sony handhelds. As much I enjoy my Vita, you'd think I'd have remembered to list those.

Well, I sell my consoles when I buy the next-gen...so rather than just checking the PS4 option, I checked all of the options in which I have owned/paid for at one point in my life.

I still like to play Game Boy Advance games on a TV using the adapter for the Gamecube. The Game Boy disc is always left in my Gamecube.

Dreamcast, PS2, PS3, Will.

Not listed, but by far most used system is the 3DS in our house.

I have owned at one point or another:

Atari 5200 ( loved this system, hated the dumbass constantly broken controllers )
NES (TSB will probably never be surpassed for fun level in a football sim)
SNES (Final Fantasy 2 and 3 were mind blowing to me in their time)
Dreamcast (Loved their sports line up)
Playstation (FF 7 and 9, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear Solid.. Awesome.)
Playstation 2 (FF10 and Gallop Racer were tons of fun. Madden was solid then too.)
Gameboy Advance (This is basically my pokemon simulator, thats about it)
Xbox (Burnout 2 was great, still play Madden 09 on it occasionally, since it is still the best game in the series)

Xbox 360 (Mostly a casual gaming/ media box for me. I have a lot of games, but I still spend most of my time watching stuff on youtube, netflix, and hulu.)

My favorite system of all time is still the SNES, because it had so many incredible RPGs and solid sports games as well.

If I could afford a PS3 right now I would have one, because there are a lot of exclusives I want to play, (Namely The Show and Little Big Planet) and I am just now a budding PC gamer who has never really owned many PC games aside from text sims and the occasional sports offering like the old Sierra sports games.

I think the consoles now need to find a way to separate themselves from the FPS genre a little and start diversifying their game libraries some. I can't see how so many of these games have huge audiences when they're all so similar. I'd love to see some innovative and risky concepts being explored.. When (if) I see that I will likely choose which system I want going forward based on it.. But as long as the 360 is supported, I will continue with it because the new systems have little to nothing to offer me right now in terms of games I actually want to play. NBA 2k14 is probably the only game I am super interested in right now, maybe Forza. I'm hoping like hell we see an NFL 2k in the near future.. That may also sway me.

I miss my dreamcast. It was my introduction to online sports gaming, and I had a deep love for shenmue for some reason

Nah- I've made peace with the level of my collection and goals. I'm at around 1500 games and worth around $10K-$15K. I don't need every game but I want all the "good games" for a system with good meaning probably the top 10% of most systems.

I have my original Xbox still in storage in a box in the garage. In the house, we have PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox 1, and Wii U. 2 of the 4 were gifts to us by an employer and grandparents. The 360 is the primary console used for gaming with the 1 probably gaining steam as new games get released. My oldest son and I play the Xbox. Our sons all play the Wii U and the PS3 is primarily used as a blu ray player by the Mrs.
