For my OL...is there a greater chance (ie.%) of KRBs occuring if I am facing a defense that is "poor" against the run? Or is it just a factor of my OL's ability exclusively?

If it is a function of the defense I'm facing, is it primarily associated with the DL's run stopping ability...or are the LB/CB/S taken into account?

There is a lot of depth on this issue from back in the FOF 2004 days (I think), likely could be found with a prper search, or might even be linked from one of the reference pages.

(Warning: anti-immersion alert...this is the sort of stuff that some people find disenchanting, to be reminded that this is a computer game, rather than a set of tiny little men actually playing a football game inside their computer)

Short capsule (from older versions of FOF, but very likely to still be true now) is this: On each designed running play, one blocker is selected as the "lead" (and shows up with a key run block opportunity) and if the run achieves a pre-set level of success given the down and distance, then the lead blocker is credited with a key run block in the game stats. That's it.

On 1st and 10, getting 5 yards on a run is a defined success. On 3rd down, the back must get the first down to be credited with success. I think the rest got fleshed out fairly well back in the day - on 2nd and X, I think you had to get at least 2/3 of X, or something like that... the standard basically made sense, and might trace back to similar measures (win/fail) used by Football Outsiders and other stat-oriented sources.
