If you manage to get yourself fired, the game is over. No chance at another job or anything. Shouldn't there be an option to continue the career with another team?

I know it offers you the choice to ignore the firing, but I went along with it to see what other jobs I would be offered. I actually had a ton of success, making the SB 4 times and winning one, but 3 losing seasons in a row after the SB win got me fired. I was sure another team would be happy to pick me up.

Yeah, that kind of sucks, especially in how much time we put into each career. Thanks for the heads up.

Umm, just ignore it. And then stop costing your owner so much damn money. :p

Play with the Detroit Lions. It takes a LOT to get fired.

Well, heck! That takes the wind outta my buying sales...I hope this is something that could be added.

Wait, can you switch teams or are you stuck with one team your entire career?

You can switch teams at the beginning of the season so long as some team is interested in you. If you've been winning, then teams will be interested.

You don't have to be fired. I disable this option and forget about it, but it might add some interest to leave it on. Otherwise, the game doesn't have a natural end. (ie, you as the GM will never retire.)

Yeah, you can just ignore the firings and play till your hearts content.

Couldn't you just "ignore" the firing, then force yourself to "Choose a New Team" to get the option you wanted?

I reloaded the previous season and no team was interested in hiring me. My only option was to ignore the firing, which is fine, but I think it is something that should be looked at.

Agreed.. would be neat to maybe sit out a season and then get offered jobs the next season.

If you play on after you get fired, is it possible to get fired again? Is it still possible to change teams after you're fired (if you improve the team over the next few years?)

I like this option but it's for real??
