Chrome and video issues

Shockwave crashes when I go to ESPN. If somebody links to a video, the play area will be black even though the video plays. If I watch videos from my Youtube channel, things are fine although I'm not getting adds. I have reinstalled Shockwave and Flash with doing reboots and yet the issue remains. If I use Firefox, there are no issues.

I've had problems on and off with Chrome and Shockwave. Search online for the issue - Shockwave likes to install a couple of different versions of itself on your system and Chrome only works with one of those. Disabling the other version via the plugins / extensions worked for me, but you'll have to go online to figure out which one to disable.
