Has anyone else noticed that at the end of a game/half the losing team always seems to use all of their timeouts, even if there is literally no chance of catching up (eg. down by more than 2 scores with under a minute to play), whether on offense or defense.
I've watched about 3 seasons worth of games in the past week or so and have anecdotally noticed this seems to happen a lot. I could easily be mistaken, but I don't think this happens in the NFL.
Has anyone else noticed this? I'm going to try to keep an eye on it and see if it really is happening a lot or if it just seems like it is, but in any event I can't really see a team just using their timeouts just to use them up.
