Description:
I'm pretty new to this community but have done some roster work on other games in the past such as Baseball Mogul. Anyway, I took a look at the 2013 rosters and made some quick updates to them and added a couple new players into it. It looks like the way the roster is set up, is that I set a overall score and then the game takes the player's info and generates skill ratings for each person.
So I went ahead and took the CSV file and sorted by position group and tried to modify their overall rank based on that. I hope that makes some sense - based on the help files in player file generator.
I also took a brand new stab at making a 2014 draft class. I had posted one previously, but started over from scratch with a 2nd version. For this one, I put in some more accurate player info such as weight and height for some position groups. I didn't do it for all of them however, so it's mainly just offense players.
For all players, I took CBS Sports Top Prospects by Position (roughly 20-25 players per group) and added them into a randomly generator draft file from Fictional Player Factory Web Player Generator (http://greenlight-systems.com/fof/). After that, I took a more logical approach of putting players to fictional players but sorting and filtering out by positions and then taking the average of the skill ratings that fit the requirements of the position and then renamed accordingly and adjusted weight and height.
Again, FOF takes these roster sets as a guideline but then randomly generates skill ratings accordingly.
Anyway, I attached the zip file. It includes an already created database for importing into the game for both the 2013 final roster and the 2014 draft class. I also attached CSV spreadsheets of what I did in the zip.
