Entire league retired

I have been playing a SP league for awhile and in the 2025 the entire league retired. Each team has a roster of 0 players and there are no free agents to pickup.

Luckily I saved right before I ended the season but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this.

I'm curious what would happen if you continued that career. Presumably the free agency stage would be uneventful. Then the draft happens. Then would enough rookies be generated to fill the rosters? I kind of want this to happen in my league now.

I went forward through the draft but basically there weren't enough players to fill out the rosters and I couldn't proceed past the first preseason game due to insufficient roster requirements.

And everytime I reload from a previous save the same thing happens when I end the season. I guess its time to start a new SP career.

Prior to retirement do all of the players in the league have the same birth year?
