I'd be surprised if this hasn't been posted here before but if you type in "bacon number" and your favorite actor into Google, it'll return that actor's Bacon Number -- how many degrees they are from Kevin Bacon.
Just try to find someone who has a Bacon Number higher than 3...

Natalie Portman is 2.
Her Bacon Number is a 2. SHE'S a solid 7 or 8. Could be higher but elbows too pointy.

It's amazing how many people have a bacon number of 2 when you wouldn't expect it. Errol Flynn, Alfred Hitchcock to name two I just tried.

'bacon number Hatcher Flaschen' brings back no bacon number.
HE BROKE THE GOOGLES!
But the Oracle of Bacon website gives him a BN of 2.

Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, and Ronald Reagan are also all 2.
Though the Reagan one is kind of cheating:
Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford appeared in Greatest Presidents of the United States.
Gerald Ford and Kevin Bacon appeared in Frost/Nixon.

Google has this listed for Natalie:
Natalie Portman (https://www.google.com/search?q=natalie+portman) and Mila Kunis (https://www.google.com/search?q=mila+kunis) appeared in Black Swan (https://www.google.com/search?q=black+swan+movie).
Mila Kunis (https://www.google.com/search?q=mila+kunis) and Kevin Bacon (https://www.google.com/search?q=kevin+bacon) appeared in G4 Presents Comic Con 2012 Live (https://www.google.com/search?q=g4+presents+comic+con+2012+live).

I'm pretty sure there are plenty of movies that RR was in that give him a number of 2.

Google seems to take some liberty with their bacon numbers.
Adolf Hitler is a 2, as is Ronald Reagan.
Apparently appearing in a clip that wasn't filmed for that movie is enough to count as a BN connection.

True, looking now, he was active longer than I thought, all through the 50s, so that's a ton of actors that would have still been floating around by the time Bacon came around....and he had a little comeback in 1964 in a movie that had a lot of big names, one of whom probably crossed paths with Bacon.

The google one cheats a little bit.
Mary Pickford's number for Google is 2 because her and Whoopi Goldberg were both in a documentary about Pickford.
Oracle has Pickford's number at 3, which is much more legit.
Harpo Marx is a 3. Even D.W. Griffith is a 3.

Buster Keaton is a 2. Eli Wallach narrated a documentary in 2004 which included clips from Buster Keaton.
To repeat what others have said: THAT DOES NOT COUNT!

It's kind of interesting how even the silent era actors are only 2 or 3 away. I guess the rest of the world realized this phenomenon (which I'm sure applies to hundreds of actors) 15 years ago, I've just never played around with one of these things.
